The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person reported missing on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 within the confines of the 6th Precinct. The circumstances are as follows:

Novobatzky, Marianne
83-year-old female white
61 Jane Street
New York, NY
*It was reported to police that Marianne Novobatzky was last seen on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 3:30*p.m. inside of her residence. She is 115 pounds with a light complexion, white hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green shirt, beige pants and pink sandals.

WEST VILLAGE — An 83-year-old woman who lives in the West Village has been missing since Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The NYPD is looking for Marianne Novobatzky, police said, who was last seen in her Jane Street home on Sept. 6 about 3:30 p.m.
Novobatzky has health issues, the NYPD said, though they would not elaborate on what those issues are.
She weighs 115 pounds and has white hair and brown eyes, the NYPD said. She was last seem wearing a green shirt, beige pants and pink sandals.

‘Lost’ and found

Early last Wednesday morning Sept. 7, police reported that Marianne Novobatzky, 83, of 61 Jane St., had been missing since around 3:30 p.m. the day before. However, it turns out, she was found later on Wednesday.

A week later, a resident of Novobatzky’s building told The Villager that the senior woman, in fact, had reportedly merely been in the hospital.

A Police Department spokesperson confirmed, “The missing woman was found safe and in good health on Wed., Sept. 7.”

The Villager had checked with police on the morning of Sept. 7 around 10 a.m. if the woman was still missing, and was told that she still was. So, she apparently was found sometime later in the day.

She may still be alive at the age of 90, according to fastpeoplesearch.com:
