Mary Joyce-Bonsignore, 88, was last seen Monday morning in front of her home on 19th Avenue in Bath Beach, Brooklyn.

She was wearing a straw hat, blue pants, a red and white and shirt, brown slippers and a silver identification bracelet.

[h=1]Brooklyn Church to conduct search for missing 88-year-old woman with dementia[/h]

A Brooklyn church is organizing a Sunday search to scour streets and back alleys for a missing woman.

St. Finbar will launch the hunt from its parking lot at 3 p.m. to help find Mary-Joyce Bonsignore, 88, of Bath Beach, who has been missing since Monday.

Row houses alot of alley ways and driveways between the homes. The golf course is fenced off pretty much, except for the main entrance during the day.

Her family said she has dementia and walked away from her house on 19th Ave. near Bath Ave. at 8:30 a.m. on July 17.

"She just finished her breakfast, she was sitting on the front porch and her husband went to go collect the garbage. I guess within 20 minutes she took off and went down the steps," her daughter said.

Bonsignore was last seen making a right toward Cropsey Ave., surveillance video shows.

Her mother loves to dance, play bridge and has master's degrees in history and geology.

"She was way, way ahead of her time in many ways."

It’s believed she walked down 19th Avenue toward Cropsey Avenue, perhaps headed toward the waterfront – one of her favorite places.

Joyce-Bonsignore was last seen wearing a straw hat, red and white shirt and blue pants. Her family said she also wears an identification bracelet that has their contact information on it.

The NYPD confirms they found the body of an elderly woman just before noon who matches Bonsignore's description, but the identification will not be released until it is confirmed by the medical examiner. The autopsy will also determine the cause of death, but authorities say no criminality is suspected at this point.

Bonsignore's body was found Tuesday. She had apparently entered a building near her 19th Avenue home in Bensonhurst and died on a roof, the family priest said.
