MOO — Not a local but very familiar with the area. To clarify, I 87 is the NYS Thruway south of Albany. 87 is called the Northway north of Albany. Both segments of 87 have an exit 22. The news articles reference Northway exit 22, which is one of the main exits used to access Lake George, not Thruway exit 22, which is a solid hour south of Lake George.

And again MOO - if she was last seen in a vehicle went south instead of north, there is a decent chance they were headed east, possibly into VT.

First it was 7:00, then 9:00. They reported out a white van, now the white van is gone. The alert that went out today said she had been last seen 7/16, but everywhere says 7/19 so that must have been a mistake.
So if they have no vehicle, what happened? Where was she taken? What were the circumstances?

I'm not liking this. I hope the confusion will mean that she went with some family member and the others don't know....but it's been overnight now with no "found safe" announcement.

We need an actual article, after a reporter has asked questions about the alert, etc imo.

I find this all strange. She is reported to be in danger, but there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency with information.

Maybe that means LE has a solid lead and doesn't need the public??? I hope so.

I've been there camping several times. I'm wondering why they are not specifically saying where she was actually adducted from. Was it from the waterfront area? That place gets super busy during the summer with tons of people walking around. Think like a small beachfront boardwalk type of area with restaurants, gift shops, boat rentals, small kiddy entertainment area. I would think it would be better if they could disclose where should was abducted from for more witnesses to come forward.

I am so sorry for her and all innocent family. I speculate LE had a suspect, there had been either previous violence or threats made, and that's why they knew she was in imminent danger and also how they were able to find her. Tragically too late. But just my speculation. Hope an announcement of an arrest comes soon.
