A man was captured on video in a New York City McDonald’s terrorizing patrons and chasing them around with an ax after being pummeled by a group of men following a verbal altercation.

The New York Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that a 31-year-old male, identified as Michael Palacios, was arrested for an incident at the McDonald’s on Delancey Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side where witnesses say he attacked customers with an ax he removed from his backpack during a dispute with three other males.

The NYPD says that Palacios was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, three counts of menacing, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

"The axe-wielding man who was filmed menacing customers in a New York McDonald's over the weekend has been released without bail at his arraignment on Sunday, authorities said.

Palacios was arraigned on fourth-degree criminal-mischief and possession-of-weapons charges, and neither charge is eligible for bail under the state's relaxed criminal-justice reforms.

He even responded to the incident on Instagram, and said 'After the 5 minute police chase through the lower East side the NYPD told me "that was fun chase."'

'Traffic was weak and I couldn't get out of the neighborhood I fell of my bike making a hair pin turn from the street to the sidewalk, landing on my shoulder and dislocating it,' he continued in the post.

'They took me to the hospital and than jail. And now I'm out. Some of you want me to go to jail? Already did! Haha. So Have a great day,' he gloated."

What a scary, crazy incident.

It looks like Palacios harrasses young women.
Then he's standing at counter.
Three of the young woman's friends come and start punching him.
Palacios remains motionless and takes the punches.
When they don't stop, Palacios gets the axe out of his backpack and starts destroying things.

It was obviously wrong of Palacios to harrass the women and destroy the restaurant. He could have gotten the axe out and walked away. And his attitude is terrible; I won't be surprised if he commits another crime.

But the woman's friends beating on the guy was wrong too.
