Mom Says Fake CPS Worker Tried to Take Away Her Baby

This is really scary that someone would be so brazen as to do what this woman did. It seems no one is safe anywhere any more.

Mom issues dire warning after stranger claiming to be from Child Protective Services arrived at home

The mom, who told the stranger she was going to call the police, then went inside her home to get her phone. She wouldn't let the woman into her house, so the stranger was left standing on her porch. When Ashley returned, she saw the woman walking quickly around the corner of her house.

The mom says the police officer she contacted told her that "people come from different countries and states [to] kidnap kids and traffic them, [and] it does not matter what the age." Accompanying her Facebook post is a photo of a police officer jotting down all the details surrounding the incident.

Over the weekend, CBS 3 Philly reported that in Dover, DE, a woman and three men showed up at a mom's home claiming to be from CPS and saying they needed to check on the welfare of her children. But when the mom became suspicious and said she was going to call the police, the suspects left.

Back in 2014, a similar incident happened to a mom from Indiana.

So how did these fake CPS people get info about the children? I mean this woman knew the son's name and clearly knew which address to approach. So it was pre-meditated. Makes me wonder how much info the perp was able to glean from SM of the mum or some other source. It's scary to think of how she almost got away with it.
