If this was a serial killer, he didn't dump any other bodies in the immediate area. The two serial killers who did (Francisco Acevedo and Alex Henriquez) were ruled out by DiMase and John Geiss (Yonkers PD). Probably not Robert Shulman either, as this case doesn't fit his MO and I'm assuming his DNA would have matched.

It would seem a serial killer...imo....because of posing and strangulation (not manual) and binding. But I may read too much and have an imagination!!

I don't think it was a serial killer either but felt the person left her there to send a message to someone or LE. I'm sure there were many places they could have left her where she wouldn't be easily found.

There are indeed many better places to hide a body in the immediate vicinity. Like within blocks. If you know the neighborhood well enough to know Carleton, you know it well enough to find the wooded area 3 blocks away. Rumor has it a body was found there as well. Though I need to confirm that w DiMase.

Also the Argus article states OCME put time of death at 12 hrs prior not 6 hrs. Making her death some time around midnight the night before, Saturday going into Sunday a.m. she was found just before noon Sunday.

I was going to mention that yesterday when I read the article. Any idea why they now think 6 hours? Would be a good question for DiMase

I don't know where that came from; I think it might have been in the 2013 Lohud article. I will ask DiMase though.

I wonder if 12 hours was thought at first, then they went back to the autopsy report, came back with 6 hours due to temps and other finding such as the broccoli.

hey guys, opinion on http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/schlicker_rosie.html being Jane doe? I know the age is a little high for her (would've just turned 30 2ish weeks before), but I'm feeling kind of optimistic about this one?

OMG, she looks so familiar. But she looks to me exactly like one of CarlK's other reconstructions. But I can't find which one!!!! Walker county TX Jane Doe maybe. There is another one she looks like so much but I can't find it!!!

I definitely see the resemblance b/t Rosie and Lumberton JD, not so much b/t Rosie and WCJD.

She needs enterd in NamUs with DNA to compare. She resembles a few Does, just not MVJD to me.

Wish Rosie's frontal picture wasn't so distorted.

I see a slight resemblance between them, but Rosie would have been 30 in 1988 when MVJD was found. MVJD looks much younger to me, closer to the age that Rosie was in 1978 when she first went missing.
This is a great find, even if she doesn't turn out to be this UID. I'm thinking she might match another one, though.
OT, Schlicker is such a cool name.

I'm with you on this. She does look familiar, but I can't place it, either.

What about NamUs UP # 1882 New_Image.JPG

Hoping I have attached pic properly.

Her hair was lt brown and her ht was only 5'3/wt 110 lbs. so this idea could be way off-base!

But similar in looks.
