No disrespect towards OG’s memory at all, this is a tragic story… reading it like this really gives me straight to TV movie vibes though. It’s all just so bizarre.

Oh, you can be sure this will be a Lifetime movie at some point, and a Dateline NBC episode, 48 Hours, and who knows how many others. JMO

@Kristin Esq. OG well liked housewife, STAHM, with husband and two teen boys. Her body was found stuffed in a hockey bag on a sidewalk by dog walker. Trail of blood led to her home a few blocks away where her 13 year old son was. LE briefly questioned him and then released him to an adult family member. Older teen and dad were out of state scouting college for the 17 year old.

a lot of the case discussion was centered on members of the household because the woman had been stabbed 59 times and clearly put up one heck of a fight. Attack seems to be rage fueled and personally driven.

Press quoted inside sources from within days of the murder about possible affairs with men and one of them having killed her.

A former handyman that LE states victim OG had an affair with in the past has now confessed. That's the nutshell version.

I don't think the MSM ever reported about "possible affairs with men," only that she had texted several males the night of her murder, could have been friends, relatives, etc. for all we know. The only intimate relationship that we know about outside of her marriage at this point is the on-again, off-again relationships she had with DB, the handyman.

Several posters have summarized the case well for you, but just want to add that the handyman who has confessed to the murder, DB, also sought treatment at an area hospital for cuts to his hands after the murder. Apparently he went to an urgent care clinic, and they told him to go to the hospital because the cuts to his hands were pretty bad.

I don't read it that way, it says that they are probing OG's relationships with several men, so that could mean that they are not overlooking any male acquaintances or relatives in case they could be the murderer. The article then goes on to attribute a romantic relationship with one man, who is the handyman. JMO.

This is a good summary, but for you, @Kristin Esq. , I'll include one salient detail.

A text was sent from Orsolya's phone to the husband's phone after the murder. It mentioned something about knowing where she used to live in Queens, and that she was responsible for him being arrested years ago, and that her whole family was in danger because he was coming for them next.

As you can well imagine, this led to much speculation. Did the culprit know her passcode? How did he know where she used to live? Did the language indicate he was not a native English speaker? How did he know which contact was her husband?"

It was all a misdirection by the murderer, and in the opinion of most of us, it was done very clumsily.

When you have a chance to view the grainy video of DB dragging poor Orsolya through the streets, stuffed into a duffel bag, you'll see that there was a lot of conjecture about the culprit's age, gender and so on.

It seems though that the police had it sorted out pretty quickly.

A gruesome crime, leaving in its wake a shattered family.

I think there is no doubt OG and murderer had been intimate previously. He seems the type who would also lean on her financially, i`m sure she was generous when paying for his handyman work, he must have though he had it made, the kind to eat from your fridge while on the job.
It would not surprise me if OG had a new male interest and murderer was aware of it, he probably felt he had the right to confront her and did so at her home, he probably seized her phone and became enraged at what he found and then murdered her. He was probably stalking her, given how soon he arrived to her home.

My only concern with this linked article is that it is dated from the early hours of the investigation and prior to knowledge and arrest of DB. I haven't seen any articles post-NYPD presser that cited OG met with a man at/after Lincoln Center nor that she was actually waiting for someone when returning to Forest Hills and having a drink at Station House.

I haven't seen any articles post-NYPD presser that cited OG met with a man at/after Lincoln Center nor that she was actually waiting for someone when returning to Forest Hills and having a drink at Station House.

agreed, it is from prior to the LE presser and arrest of DB. That was sort of my point. Someone quoted mine and said that the press did not insinuate multiple men and possible affairs. I supplied those snips to explain why I feel the press did just that. Which is why I specifically selected the articles I did, from prior to the arrest and presser.

Orsolya going on a date with another man probably got back to DB and fueled his rage.

JMHO: It appears she attended this show from a reference above: "Most likely OG attended the live American Songbook Series, "Songs by an Immigrant" concert by Mexican composer Jaime Lozano @ Lincoln Center Friday evening. IMHO hope the other man was not a hispanic as well which enraged DB? JMO

In the video of DB walking home on the morning of the murder it shows a bandage on his left hand. I haven't seen anything stating if he was left or right handed???

While the video we have seen shows DB's left hand heavily bandaged, it was reported that he was seen at the urgent care facility, before being referred to a local hospital, suffering from wounds to both hands. While it is only speculation, I may assume that he is right-handed, and perhaps in his rage, cut himself on his left hand multiple times, attempting to restrain OG, while stabbing her repeatedly.

I only hope that he cut himself badly enough that at least some of that blood trail leading from the bag, back to her house, was his. JMO

Bonola allegedly suffered wounds to his hands after stabbing Gaal and went to a CityMD later Saturday for his injuries. He then headed to Bellevue Hospital after doctors at the urgent care center said the wounds were too deep for them to treat, police sources said.

This guy appears to be just a crime waiting to happen IMO.
I read earlier on this thread from media that he has two prior arrests sealed. I was curious what you can seal in NY as an adult so I googled and came across this

I had no idea you could seal felony or misdemeanor cases at all like that as an adult. I wonder if its just NY or other states are similar. Seems like the public, esp an employer has the right to know? JMO
