"on Oct. 30, 1991, the body parts of a Park Slope woman, Sandra Acosta, were discovered at a weeded lot near the Gowanus section of Brooklyn. Her two hands, feet, arms and legs were found, along with her head. Her torso was never recovered."

''Luz Carrion, the sister of victim Sandra Acosta, was distraught when speaking to PIX11 at her front door on Douglass Street.

“Somebody set out to do this,” Luz Carrion said in 1991, “not only to her but other people because there’s a lot of young girls missing, about three others. Same color hair, about the same height, weight, same area. The other girl is three blocks away from here, Tiffany.”

Luz Carrion referred to the missing Tiffany Dixon, who was never found.

Sandra Acosta was slim and petite, standing only about 4 feet eleven inches tall.

In the Gilgo Beach case, Rex Heuermann has been accused of targeting—and murdering—slim, petite women working as escorts.

The Suffolk County District Attorney, Raymond Tierney, released a 32-page court document on July 14 revealing Heuermann did extensive online searches for torture porn and child porn—looking up topics like 10-year-old school girl and age 12 child girl, among many others.''

I think the 116 squad collared Rupchand Simboo for the murder and dismemberment of his wife, Salisha Ali. They found her head in Broad Channel. 35 years ago in Park Slope, while assigned to the 78th precinct I found arms, legs, feet, hands and a head in a lot on 8th St, between 4th and 5th Ave. Never found her torso. That was Sandra Acosta, 23 years old. Her name came up again in 2023 as a possible victim in the Gilgo Beach murders. Anyway, it's a longshot, but Rupchand Simboo was just arrested for killing his wife and dismembering her. Did Simboo ever live in Brooklyn? It's eerily similar. The body parts were dismembered using a sharp knife. I remember that. It looked like a butcher carefully took her apart. I knew the head looked familiar. My commanding officer was there with the detective squad and I said I know who this is! Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. I said there's a missing person poster behind the precinct desk. It's her! The captain looked at a cop I know and said, Harry, go get that poster. I was right. Sandra Acosta haunted me for 35 years. It's a longshot, but you never know.
