The child was left at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center at around 11:30 a.m. by two unidentified individuals who fled in a vehicle, hospital staff told responding officers.

the above article says the plates on teh vehicle were not the ones that belong on the vehicle used to dump the baby. It also states rigor mortis had already begun by the time the child was dropped off, dead, at the facility.

FYI, according to WPIX (a local NYC news station) the woman has now been identified as his mother. The child's initials are KRF.

Family members are asking her to come forward.

The man has been described as her boyfriend; his godmother says they know almost nothing about him.

“She met this grown man….and she’s been manipulated. She is the sweetest kid but she has been manipulated all her life,”

this article also says maternal grandma tried in 2022 to get custody but court's denied her application. Grandma claimed mom was on drugs.

No charges have been filed in Kyng’s death. But reporting from The New York Times revealed that the boy was being abused months before he died and that there were several missed chances, including some by law enforcement officials and family members, to intervene
