An unidentified woman’s body was found floating in the East River by Astoria Park yesterday.
Police responded to a 911 call at around 11:15 a.m. about a person in the ice-cold water near Shore Boulevard by the Triborough Bridge.
The police arrived and found that the woman was unconscious and unresponsive. She is believed to have been in her 20s and was fully dressed, police say. EMS pronounced her dead on the scene.
The medical examiner has not yet released a cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.

Cops are still looking for answers after a woman was found floating in the East River near Astoria Park on Sunday.
The body was discovered around 11:13 a.m. on Dec. 10 near Shore Boulevard, according to officials. Officers found her unconscious and unresponsive and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Asian woman in her 20s was fully clothed and wearing a black jacket, black shoes, a sweater and jeans, police said.
There were no signs of trauma and the woman was not carrying any forms of identification. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
