on the public RM Search group page, there is a post by editor in chief of longisland.com to help them get the word out. Alas, no follow up whatsoever. I wonder why?
That, like so many other parts of this mystery are perplexing to say the least. :banghead:
I am from Long Island, and cannot believe the utter lack of news coverage of this case. We have 2 news sources, Newsday (newspaper) and News12 (TV station) and Newsday has never even run 1 article about this case. News12 picked it up briefly but has dropped it like a hot potato. Is the lack of coverage because RM is a man? What if he was a woman, and mother? Would this case get more coverage in the media then? I keep thinking to myself, if I went missing, I hope there would be more media coverage! The media is not helping in this case........
Respectfully, the last two sentences contradict each other. If he needed cash to get away the scrap metal sighting is a vital clue.

I think if you follow the money in this case there are a lot of signs that he probably didn't have to sell metal scraps to make extra cash. For example, he just put an addition on his house less than a year ago with an estimated cost of $75,000. http://tohpropertyinfo.huntingtonny...LandManagementSiteHistoryReport.aspx?ID=64105. Using the tax map ID#, go check out his mortgage on the Suffolk County assessor's webpage while you are at it.
My guess is that she can't get any straight answers either. If only the family and LE would be forthcoming with information. It's frustrating.
I have said it before, living beyond their means, debt piling up, equity loan would only create more debt. Union electricians don't make that much, and they have forced furloughs, usually only working 40 weeks a year. Wife booking European vacations, cruises, casino visits. House upgrades, in ground pool, mortgage, taxes, kids. I can see a guy just saying "enough" and walking away.
At least I hope he walked away.
Very true, FrankieP. Unfortunately, we don't know much of anything.
Was that a recent post on the RM Search Facebook page?
I'm not on there, was just curious if there is going to be more press, maybe a press conference or something? Thoughts?
She posted that 16 hours ago via mobile. Don't know what it exactly means. Thoughts are...."I've been tight lipped and compliant with the requested guidelines of the investigation and it's gotten us nowhere. I want to release as much information to the public as possible. Maybe they can help."
