OT---have you had success with local restaurants???? I think Panera Bread and Outback Steakhouse are very involved with such endeavors.

TBJ seems to be only one talking sense on FB. Woot!

I believe IM said he is/was unshaven---would have to waaaaaay back and read--it may be on the poster

From the very beginning, and on the missing poster IIRC, it said he may be unshaven. Like he forgot his wallet, so he may have been running late, hence not having time to shave.

Unfortunately, this law does not stop many from getting in, or out, of the country via border crossings.

As far as Canada, it does keep people out if they are not conniving. Try crossing the border in a car or bus. They do stop and check the people out. Sometimes they search the vehicles. On the other hand, Mexico is loose.

So does local grocery stores!

I work with the homeless and the battered womens shelters.
I think we all have a crusade and most of us have been down to our last dime,
I know I have.
but I saw nothing said about the homeless!

According to FB, the answer was given that window was part opened, ID was visible, car was registered and inspected, inside contents were visible. Abandoned red car was parked near Rob's car. :twocents:

Has LE or someone contacted the owner of the vehicle? Do they know who the owner is? Are they sure it was abandoned or was it just left there because they took the train to a vacation destination, extended family/friend visit, or to the airport??

didn't he leave really really early?
How could he have been running late?

I think he came back to the house and left his wallet after the scrap yard. this is why his car was seen on that video 2 times

It doesn't matter what time you leave, you can always run late. Oversleep, etc.

Yes-- what about the other trades on the job??? Pipefitters, plumbers etc.
Also isn't there a bookkeeper/office manager on the job who is in charge of time sheets??? The office manager (who is Local 3 also) lying for RM is quite different than "the boys" lying for him. I believe RM was there that Friday----what was the state of his desk/work area?? cleaned out, ready for Monday?? Vacation marked on calendar???

Makes me wonder if he told anyone about the planned Italy trip. Did he report the time off to any of his supervisors??

Yes, These are original details from IM. May have been running late and possibly didn't shave. Followed by how she didn't really know because it was 4:30am and she was sleeping.

wouldn't LIRR have to issue a complaint about an abandoned car for something to be done about it? Or the car being reported as missing---there are enough identifying things on the car ---VIN number, plates, registration

Talula--re post 794-- sorry -- just read-----The owner of the car is known then?

A cousin of mine tried to sneak into Canada once in the trunk of a car. He got caught and spent the night in jail. The next day, on the advice of some friends, he bought a bag of groceries (TP to be exact) and walked right across the border with no problem. Of course, it was a good few years ago, but where there's a will there's a way. He was trying to get back to Ireland, and did not want to leave from the states or else he wouldn't get back in. Different times, I know.
