I just don't see why she would need an alibi.

Well How can I say this delicately!

she is helping him! she may not know where he is but she might know why hes gone.

Just a thought!

Aside from documenting the time that RM arrived and left the scrap yard, I'm not sure what else we're hoping the cameras will show. Foul play? If that were so, I can't understand how his car would be parked at the train station, in good condition. If we were told that he made his transaction, and his car was later found ditched somewhere (looking like something bad had happened), I would definitely have to trace things back to the scrap yard. We know he was there and made a transaction. I'm still not willing to link that to his disappearance. Frankly, after two months (and no physical evidence of a crime/accident/suicide), I'm starting to wonder about the events of that day, and how they've *pointed* to certain scenarios. :whiteflag:

Actually it will prove he was there and what time!
gives a timeline!

It would also give a description of what he had on and if he was unshaven!
It would show if he was nervous or on edge. Felt watched, would show if anyone was with him!

Unless the scrap yard is totally flaunting the law, I think they have a record of him being there, likely with a time on it. You're right about being able to know the time he left, although maybe if he cashed out at the ATM-type machine, that would give a time...maybe even a photo. And yes, maybe someone was with him...that's something I never thought of. :blushing:

More mod notes about gossipy FB stuff again this A.M. You guys are a great group but if you keep making extra work for the mods, I'll have to use this:

If hes on camera you can kind of tell if he seems like hes in trouble of some kind.

Remember believe only half of what u see and nothing of what you hear lol

Sleuthers are never happy...LOL. First you all complain that no one in her family speaks up, then when they do you don't like the content. Obviously her family is going to feel very defensive at this point. People on that page are forgetting the golden rule, big time. As far as rules, when FB admins try to set rules or delete posts, they are criticized there and here for doing so, now you are criticizing that they don;t have enough rules? I havent read all of your posts personally, Curious, so please don;t take this as an attack on your post just kind of how I am seeing it between the two sides.

Thank you! I was referring to bad language, rudeness, people snapping at each oher just for posing an opinion. I have been here on WS since June and have never seen anyone speak to each other like that. Its respectful here. That's what I meant.

Why would LE tell IM that something isn't to be shared with the public, if they do not believe a crime has been committed? That makes no sense.

IMO, this is what LE believes so far, because nothing suggests (evidence) a crime has been committed. They are sometimes wrong though. For example, some missing teens were tagged by LE across the country as runaways but were found murdered. LE works on evidence for direction of these cases. You never know when the case will turn a corner. All it takes is a tip or some evidence that will change the direction of the investigation. Keep in mind, this is an ongoing investigation.

Just my opinion-- no facts . .

if he met this sort of random criminal act, how likely would it be that the "thugs" would hide the body? or leave a vehicle seemingly untouched?

Which was in reply to my:

Just for discussion Clu... (love your cats!)

Every now and I hear of someone being jumped by thugs around here and forced to go to an ATM and withdraw money. It actually happened to fellow male employee where my wife worked.. on his lunch hour, coming out of a supermarket, in an okay area, but he wasn't paying much attention, and he was grabbed by two thugs, taken to Newark and forced to withdraw from an ATM with a broken camera!

What if this fellow didn't have a wallet on him, or no ATM card, or what if he felt he could overpower the thugs... could get killed..

Yes, I agree, and also would think because he was a big, strong guy that he wouldn't be a target for ATM abduction.

So, I'm a loss in this case and sure would like to know that theories LE is kicking around.

If RM stopped at home for a few minutes, why didn't he get his wallet? Didn't anyone in his family see him or hear him arrive or leave? Why did he bother going home? Could he have come to the realization that he forgot to cash in his metals and simply backed out of the driveway to accomplish that task?

Just posing some questions . .

There was great news in a case I've been following:

A 33-year-old Brooklyn woman and Carmel High School graduate missing for nearly a month has been found in good condition, authorities said -

Her case made me think of this case, since I have to wonder why no one in the hospital realized she was missing!
Could RM be someplace where no one realizes he missing?

I just don't see why she would need an alibi.

Were her kids with her, which means no one was home? So when she got home (don't know the time) RM and his car were not there? I'm just wondering when she thought he was missing. Was he not answering his phone, while she was at her parent's home, so she started to feel concerned??

To get his bike?

I don't think he parked in the drive.

I think he took his wallet thatm orning and left it when he came back that afternoon after the scrap yard.

she is of age and I don't think the hospital can call anyone if you don't want them to.

So glad she is safe!

Given the location and condition of the car, is there any suspicion that he simply decided to get a new life? Were there any stressors in his life that might cause him to walk away? Just thinking out loud here as there is no shortage of books and online articles on how to disappear and it would not be the first or last time this has occurred.
