I've been traveling all over the island this summer. I have observed hundreds of 40 something males, if I spotted him, what would I do? I don't know is my honest answer, though I'd let the WS community in on my findings, for sure. Would I turn him over to IM or LE, not certain. And you?:twocents::drumroll:

I would definitely tell LE, so the case could be *officially* closed (even if it was already UNofficially closed).

Just curious, how do we know this case is still open?

Yes I think that was when Robert hung up on her. I think they were having a fight.

Lol I don't mean he vanished then but that was when he decided he wasn't going home.

I agree 100% with this

If he was alive and well? The police. Then I would put in a call to IM. In a heartbeat.

I wouldnt bother with LE. An anonymous text with photo to IM for sure.

LE would officially close his case out, even if they made no statement, IMO, if they had heard from him or tracked him down. I also think they would be obliged to tell the family he was alive, as obviously, at some point a family might consider having a missing person declared dead. JMO

Touché! Lol

Take a few pictures---if possible, to pass on with your tip.

We don't know he is a "deadbeat" dad...he may have left plenty of money behind. We have not heard he emptied bank accounts, as far as I know.

A dead beat dad can also constitute Purposefully Not being there for his children, regardless if he left money for their welfare, or not. IMOO.

However, you cannot go to jail for "not being there for your children OR for walking out on them. You can go to prison for not paying child support...if youre found.

If he did indeed walk away, those kids deserve an explanation from him.

I have learned a valuable lesson from this case (sincerely): be very careful about what you *know* is fact (and can be substantiated), versus what people (other than LE) say/hear/think. Sometimes, if you hear something repeated enough, it becomes a "fact" in your head.

Excellent point Angel. This lesson is a foundation of WebSleuths and reason for emphasis on using quotes/facts/reports from MSM and/or LE for sleuthing facts & findings. The challenges I see in RM's case is there are scant (if any) statements from LE and it seems the news reports being shown/written are based on the reporting of a close family member. With this case, there has been extensive discussions based on "guesses", speculations and rumor". Over time it melds and becomes difficult to separate fact from fiction. My personal opinion is that there were many missed opportunities within the first week RM was gone missing. There is very little that we can say we "know" (facts) since that first week. But in the true spirit of a WS follower, once I get hooked on a case.... it is very difficult to let loose. :fence:

Just curious, how do we know this case is still open?

MOO ... I do not think that we know the status. Hope that someone can influence LE to say something soon.

I remember the Arrow cameras not working coming from IM.

Can anyone find any statement made by LE? At anytime?
Im trying to think back to day one...and cannot recall any public statement.

Isn't that funny? I always thought it was a fact...maybe because LE didn't say anything to confirm or refute details that the public were told in the media. In the future, I'll have to remind myself that they're not obligated to, and that the actual investigation (in any case), is only between LE and who they decide to share their findings with. :blushing:

I wonder if HBO guy contacted LE at all?

Per HBO guy's post on FB yesterday...he does not want LE to confiscate his tapes or something...

IMO, I would in a heartbeat. If anything, for his children and mother. I still don't think he left on his own though. To leave his elderly mother distraught? It doesn't align with normalcy or of what little we have heard about him. No one has signed up here anonymously to bash him so I have to tend to believe he was a straight up guy. Or is a straight up guy..

He didn't hang up on here. There is no report of that.
