Snipped"---
Well, LE and Ida have been aware of these facts since week one. We've only just become aware. Why are the searches STILL taking place? We aren't searching and scouring neighboring towns. We are searching the Edgewood Preserve where Ida FEELS is the place to look. We just got new facts. There are more. If evidence conclusively pointed to Rob taking off, the searches would be called off. They wouldn't be allowed to utilize SAR without good cause. Just like these facts were held back, there could be more. Now I'm more curious about the delay with the forensics on the car. IMO we still have a few chapters left
in this story.

It really doesn't get much clearer than this post. Clemenza nails it. I really don't have much to add, it just deserved a "bump". I know some people get annoyed when this gets repeated, but it's a simple truth. All info is being reported to us by 1 source. I am not sleuthing, just stating facts.....

This source has been evasive and deceiving, and not completely forthcoming for whatever reason....and thats the source's prerogative. Just realize one or two simple words can change the whole meaning of a sentence, and this source is educated on choosing words properly. I guess What i am trying to say is don't believe everything you read or take it as complete fact. IMO we will only have real facts once LE speaks, if they ever do. :deadhorse:

OK question 1---how close do her folks live to RM and IM?? less than a 9 minute drive??? Maybe a neighbor was watching and tipped IM off that RM was home??

question 2--- does IM drive an SUV?? It is higher than the GTO so possibly easier to see on the video???

question 3--well statement on $ 300.00---I think its a middle-finger gesture. I think they argued about it---lobster, oysters etc for the BBQ. Or he wanted to do something--golf, concert--something for him specifically and the money was argued about.

Im so behind so this was probably already suggested but I don't want to lose my thought. What if he went home for whatever reason and during this time she called or texted him she was heading home so he left quickly and hid or put the phone and money to be found. I'm starting to really wonder if IM knows a lot more here. Jmo

That would explain the positioning of the seat, if all this is true that it wasn't RM driving.
IMOO.

Leaving wallet, phone, $300. behind in separate drawers is very strange. It makes me think he didn't leave on his own and someone else put the items there. I could be wrong, but something seems amiss. I don't understand why he didn't take the money or any of his stuff for that matter. If he did take off, he had to really want to get away without a trace. Why would he think he needed to do that?? Why did he want to do that? There has to be more to the story. Most people just get a divorce.

New updates to the FAQ sheet just posted. A red car was seen on video tape in his driveway June 14, wallet and $300.00 found in a drawer in garage at 4pm. Car is seen pulling out of driveway at 2:51pm, IM pulled in at 3:00pm. No phone calls within that 10 minute timeframe. One week later phone is found turned off in a drawer in the garage (during a search). Nothing else missing from house.

I'm sure I'm missing something. Have to check it again.

:stormingmad: Just catching up.

The faq on FB says the money was left in a drawer...and LE only found it after the neighbors sec cam was viewed and then LE searched the garage finding the phone in another drawer ...so it was there a week before they found it

Again I'm sooo behind but you all have really done awesome today!

Who's to say he left anything behind?

This is third hand from IM after the fact. IMO

Since I am new to the thread, I did not know of that dishonesty about the phone, so now I know, which yes, I can see that she could lose supporters.
So what was the motivation to lie about the phone?
To make the public think he would answer, and to make the public aware she wanted to hear his voice??
This case is strange!
IMOO.

I hope he did leave, but now I'm starting to doubt it. I just can't get past the fact he left everything behind and has not been in contact with his mom and sister. What did he have against them? We don't know what goes on in people's heads, but he went from a being a family man who was a homebody to a guy that disappears without a trace . .

Hmmmm, maybe somebody planted the items there?

Read and followed everything, not much time to post these days ;)

Given the time line, is it in the realm of possibilities that a hit was hired for Robert? That "open" 10 minutes of time is the kicker for me.

I think ya nailed it!!! Gotta be it!!! I bet they fought about money...I mean why else come home and risk running into her???

Why leave the money in a drawer? Why not out in the open to make a statement?? And why leave the phone in a separate drawer? Could they have been last minute decisions without using much thought? Sometimes I think someone else put them there. I could be wrong, but I don't see the logic of leaving these items hidden in separate drawers. Supposedly, it took them a week to find some of this stuff.

I am having the same issues with this theory. There are only 2 reasons all this stuff was seperate in my mind and one of them I cannot even post...

It certainly is a consideration. Perhaps he was ambushed in the garage. I'm still feeling out this possibility. Leaving the car at the train station is so typical of a ruse to throw LE off and the pushed up car seat helps me to think it was a ruse. So, I'm very much on the fence with this case. Sometimes, people do leave dramatically though.

The VA reporter has now been stopped from being able to ask questions on the FB page. Somebody names Sara was kicked off for "fueling" his questions. I think we should invite him over here to ask all the questions he wants to ask. Of course, we don't have the answers, but he may have ideas. He said he worked on a missing person's case for NG. Oh, and last night he shared RM's flyer on his personal FB page, but now it's gone.

Why not? He may have good insights to share.

Would $300 be a minor transaction at the scrap yard? Seems like a decent amount to me. I mean $300 is $300. Maybe not to some people, but it is not "drawer money" to me.

  • #596
I don't think it's odd that these things are in seperate drawers. we don't know the size or the placement of the drawers. he may have opened a drawer closest to his left hand and dropped the contents of his left pocket in, closed the drawer and removed contents of his right pocket (maybe sorted those contents for a minute) then opened the drawer closest to his right hand and dropped stuff in. I doubt he gave as much thought to this as everyone else is.

So the reporter was deleted again on the official page?

The info we received is that his scent wasn't found OUTSIDE of the car. There has been no mention of dogs other than this that I remember, no trip to the house has been documented.

True and you would think IM would have the dogs to her house as soon as she got this information from her neighbor camera because even though the car was found the next day doesn't mean it went directly to the train station.

I think it's great that we all have new things to think about. However, this, like everything else we've heard is coming from one source. Whether the money was in one drawer and the phone was in another...one source. That LE was monitoring the phone for incoming calls...one source. Arrow Scrap, friends finding car, all one source. Even if we've seen it in MSM, every article is either devoid of information or from one source.

This info was released on the site that almost every one of us has mocked. If LE was involved in some heavy duty sleuthing, we would know, there would be subpoenas and search warrants that someone could dig up just like we do on every other case.

I'm wondering if he took off because of something he was doing illegal and he didn't want to go to jail.

This has crossed my mind. It may not be jail time, but maybe he was being sued or he had to go to court and speak against someone. Perhaps the walls were closing in on him somehow.
