Right, but if he already sold it, why didn't the new owner pick up the car at the train station, if that was their meeting place, as the car was found there, but nobody picked it up.......
IMOO.

LOL OK he paid the guy to steal it and leave it someplace told him he could take the tools and the club lol

The club needs a key to lock and unlock. Maybe he had the only key on his key ring and knew when family found the car they wouldn't be able to take it off.

Maybe it was the murder weapon and was tossed by perp. I doubt this scenario though.

Maybe RM didn't drive the car to the station.

It is so awesome to get back to the basics. Thank you all newcomers to the page. You are asking great questions and bringing us all back to thinking this through. We are missing something. Something.

...it's as simple as he took the club with him to use in a car he got into...he had the key.

:moo:

It's very easy to stash money "if" that's what he did IM may not even realize if it was done over the past 6-12 months. It's hard to say unless there was an existing safe with lots of money then of course it's obvious he left, or owed someone.

It could be money they cant disclose they have if you catch my drift.
She cant say Robert took off with all the money I had stashed away lol

Heck that could very well be why she reported him missing right away.
she came home saw Robert was not home and should be went to the safe found it empty !!!!
PO'd she calls LE reports him missing lol

My thoughts...

Might have gone home to have it out so to speak, finding her not there, he just left knowing the kids would be home soon.

Might have been making a statement with the wallet and cash, may have had a spare ID. Could have locked the door on the way out and taken the keys with him.

Not all missing people contact LE to alert them. If he's across country and not internet-friendly, he may have no idea what's going on locally.

I would think he would have had to have been saving or have his own private bank account to finance this.

The club being missing is the one thing that leaves a niggling doubt in his escape from his life because I can see someone attacking him with it. Although if he no longer cared about his life/car, he could have just chucked it into a garbage can at the train station.

have just been re-reading NCNY posts and something I had not seen before popped out at me....post #691 "do people get mugged a lot by there? unless it was a random act of violence, which is highly doubtful seeing as RM was over 6ft tall and was well trained when it came to certain martial arts, and im not talking about a few classes of karate when he was a teen... If someone had attacked him, people would have seen or heard something as it would have taken a handful of guys to take him down... i don't know how secluded of an area the scrap metal place is but in broad daylight on a friday afternoon it just wouldn't make sense to target a guy like him out" He was trained in MA!!!!

Quoting myself...LOL

She found his phone and the money!

I tried to find the source of the "club found under the front seat" of the car but could not.

Am I losing my mind or do others remember that the club was actually in the car when it was found, just not engaged?

  • #511
I wonder when IM saw the video of RM looking scared and worried?
IMOO.

Why would he come home, then leave if he was that scared or worried?
What was at the house then?
Why did the phone get shut off a 2:45pm? If he was worried about the phone, wouldn't he have turned it off before he arrived home?
IMOO.

Well, my earlier theory, #29, was that he met someone at the train station and something bad happened. Perhaps he met someone who had a gun and made him get in their car.

Again, with more info the puzzle would be a little easier to piece together. Such as are his work boots AND his sneakers missing? The FAQ says nothing is missing, no clothes, etc., but the missing persons flier says he could be wearing work boots OR sneakers. So are the sneakers missing or aren't they?

My brain hurts.

Watching the Body Language here when she says "everyone said he was a nice guy" looked as though she did not think he was such a nice guy. Cagey looking, eyes wandering all over the place indicates lying. This woman is playing a role and she is a poor actress. Am I the only one who sees this? Sorry, but I am never wrong. We will see.

:please:

Cathy--you are not wrong---watch the CBS interview --she cuts her eyes away alot.

Maybe the phone wasn't shut off until he got home, so that it would be found out that yes, he did make it home, and the phone would ping or be found at home, turned off??

Yes, my brain hurts, too!

IMOO.

yes. That is what I recall.

If he had a stash of cash at home, then I would think that he would have installed a video security system in and around his own home..........
And if he has a surveillance system, was it disabled?
IMOO.
