LOL what if he does not know he is missing?

Do you think he told her that he was leaving? If so, why leave the wallet behind?

  • #622
Leaving the band itself would have been 2000x more crushing, hurtful, and symbolic if he was trying to hurt her. And then he would have to leave a note explaining to her the meaning of the cash. Unless, while "arguing" :bigfight: at 9am on the phone, he asked her how much she paid for it, and $300 came up. But it had to cost more than $300, even if it was 18 yrs ago, no?

maybe he did leave it...we have no way of knowing

New life!
new Identity possibly.
You can buy a new identity pretty easy.

I dare say that most (if not nearly all) sleuthers on here think that IM is, at the very least, withholding valuable information.

One has to wonder why that would be?

Hmmmm, thinking cap on..

Does anyone here think this this family has mafia connections?

I am sure the garage was searched by IM and possibly family. Lets keep in mind that her family members were the first to find the car. I will bet when they called her, she ran over there with the spare keys as anyone would. Lord knows what they took or moved or contaminated (unintentionally) before LE could process it.

I'm not sure she knew he stopped at home for 10 minutes. Supposedly, she wasn't home until 3pm.

SERIOUSLY???? :shakehead:
So you are thinking he went to Italy a month before the rest of them? He left the picture perfect family, went on vacation without them, and hasn't contacted them in over 2 months? I am sure he would have at least called them or his other family members when they didn't arrive at the airport in Rome, don't ya think?? :needdrink:

Good question. On the one hand, I am not sure "real life" mimics real mafia connections. However, I have about 0 experience with mafia connections.

On the other hand, while traveling through NYC about 4 or 5 years ago, we took an exit looking for a hotel and drove up on a couple of dark sedans with tinted windows that scared the bejeesuz out of me - guys in suits, at night, in the DARK, by an abandoned building.

What bothers me (among many things...) is the fact that we dont really know if the artciles/blogs citing LE comments were actually given by LE or if IM relayed that info, as well. I believeq one of the articles said LE spokesperson stated this or that BUT did they actually interview LE?

Wow, Treelights, great info. Can you ballpark what a simple band might have weighed/cost around then?

20 years ago, on Jan. 4 1993 gold was at $328.25 a troy ounce.
A troy ounce is 31.1 grams.
14kt is 14/24 pure, or 58.3 percent gold... .5833

$328.25 divided by 31.1 grams equals $10.5547
$10.5547 multiplied by .5833 equals $6.156, or $6.16 a gram.

Take $6.16 a gram and multiply that by how many grams the ring actually weighs, and that would be the value of the 14kt gold ring in scrap in on Jan, 4 1993. This is only the weight of the gold, not including stones.

This would be for 14kt. I do not know what karat his wedding band is.

This does not take in account the jewelers time, effort, creativity, etc, and it does not take in account if there were stones in the ring as well.....

ok..
i just have ONE question

its a teeny weeny question.

how come...in ALL these msm....publications...articles....
news interviews...
NO ONE has mentioned the ELEPHANT in the room
huh?

NOT ONE news article.
NOT ONE tv station interview
NOT ONE MENTION.

how come?

its a ....making me wonder.
why can't the truth come out?

makes me think of that song by john lennon
MIND GAMES

I think it is because reporters were just reporting--- not doing investigative journalism. Not enough digging into the mystery.

Agreed!! But WHY WHY WHY go to the scrap yard?? If it's the most ballsy thing you ever did, why go there? Only to not care about the money you got there and leave it behind? Doesnt make sense to me.

For that matter, why even go to work??

SOMEBODY STAGED SOMETHING!!!!!!!!! :bang:

Seems staged to me too. Don't understand why he would bother to go to the scrap yard, if he was just going to take off without the money. Something seems amiss, unless the info we are getting is flawed.
