Enough of the innuendo and enough about a certain poster's identity!

I think some people would be surprised how many of us here have actually done physical work on the ground to help find Rob.

It's a shame that a contingent feels otherwise.

Frankly it doesn't matter what they think. We all live in our own truth.

The thing that upsets me is some posters sign on with the sole intention of defending the victims family. There is nothing to defend. We are here to brainstorm, put the pieces of a puzzle together. Make sense of crumbs and facts we are given. We throw a million ideas and theories out there not to insult or judge, but to somehow make sense of a highly unusual situation. This is a sleuthing website, what does one expect? It's like visiting a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 site and getting offended by the nudity. This website is free to post and free to view, if it troubles people, they shouldn't view it.

We didn't create past actions or behaviors of victims or the families, they did. And to ignore ramifications of how these past and even current actions of the people closest to the victim may have contributed to the puzzle would be doing an injustice.
This forum has rules of being victim friendly, and I think everyone is doing their best to stick to them. And although victim friendly, I don't think the intentions of this site are for "support and prayers". As much as everyone on here wants a happy ending...... Sometimes things need to be addressed that may make some feel uncomfortable, but they are necessary in order to develop scenarios. It's unavoidable if the truth shall prevail.....even though we try our best to stay within TOS....which I think for the most part we do pretty well.

Anyone ever watch Dr House? Point is, when presented with limited facts, Throw out a million theories until something sticks.....sometimes those theories unintentionally hurt, but that is reality. With all the great members here, I do believe we have hit on the right scenario. Time will tell.

Well yeah, with all of our scenarios, we HAVE to have hit on the correct one. Unless he was taken by aliens, and that's actually been joked about too!

Another thing I keep coming back to is IM having been an attorney. (Some of you are under the impression that she was kind of high-powered or something - I am NOT under that impression.)

My dad was an attorney. My brother's an attorney. Other members of my family are attorneys. I've grown up with them, and I know how they talk, how they answer questions, and how they present information, given how much they want you to know. And when I was in uni, although I majored in psychology, I learned how to write papers and conduct studies and clearly present facts and hypotheses. There was no room for making anything different out of my findings and writings. What you read is what you get. That said, ANY time I am vague here, it's because I didn't go back over my post as well as I should have, or I can't say more due to TOS.

This is why, for the life of me, I cannot understand why a woman who wants desperately to find her husband, has been so utterly vague while answering questions. You need a hell of a lot of writing skill to become a lawyer, just to get through law school and pass the bar alone. Have you ever been to a trial? You've probably watched them on TV, at least. They're very exacting.

This has been brought up already, but, say if my boyfriend went missing, I'd be tossing out every dumb detail about him, other than stuff that was too private (unless that'd help in some way). I'd create a picture of him that would make the public feel like they knew him, make them want to find him.

If I had an FB group, for example, and there was an FAQ, I wouldn't be answering questions with short, one-word answers as if this entire thing was just a pain in my butt. If someone asked me something like, "Did he have an iPhone?" I wouldn't just answer "no". I'd talk about his 🤬🤬🤬 phone that he's had forever that looks kinda like a Blackberry but isn't, isn't a smart phone, doesn't get internet, and his carrier is T-Mobile. Then I'd look through drawers to see if I could find a box or paperwork with the exact model. See? That really wasn't hard. THAT'S the part I don't get. The utter vagueness and short answers coming from a LAWYER. That's the kind of stuff my dad would pull when he just plain didn't want to answer you for whatever reason.

IMHO, the Preserve is the big question mark. IM keeps (for what ever reason) asking for it to be searched.

Need to rule it in or out. Only one way to do that.

That tunnel link is awesome. Pennhurst Hospital near me has the same thing.

I also heard there were stormwater or sewer openings with missing manhole covers. Seems hazardous, but could be used to hide bodies.

I thought about the hit scenario too.
RM goes home as usual...goes in garage and he is met by 2 men
They take him away tied up in the back seat, he is of course held at gunpoint and they bring him somewhere....they tell him to empty his pockets so that his family thinks he ran out to the store.

I know that sounds crazy but I really have no clue at this point anymore.

Now I think he may have left but then I think about his kids and mom and other family and I'm stuck, uggggg......:banghead:

The car could have been steamed clean that day???? No scent???
All of the above is just IMO

I think there was no scent found on the outside of the car (scent trail). I'm not so sure they checked the inside. They probably assumed he took the car to work. JMO

I too thought about it being a hit - but when it was revealed that he returned home and left the $300, wallet, and cellphone in garage I ruled that out since cannot imagine a scenario where he could do that during a hit...

I think if we throw out the dogs not picking up scent at the train station, I'm going with #1 - leaving with or without another and dogs for whatever reason did get his scent. Wonder if car was wiped clean inside?

Still bugs me, why return home at all, simply leave $$, phone, wallet in car - but on second thought shows he was worried car might get broken into and didn't want those items taken..

Bugs me too. Why not keep the stuff in his pockets? Most of us do. Why go home and hide the items in drawers? Sometimes I think someone else hid them there, since it seems so strange. Could he have left the items in the garage, because they were uncomfortable to carry while cycling? Maybe he went bike riding after all. Perhaps he got a great parking spot at the train station (beats a lone car at the perserve --too hidden from witnesses) and something happened to him at the perserve.

I'm not sure I believe this scenario. My theories change daily . .

I wonder if they have many friiends?
It appears Robert just had work and home.

IIRC, IM said he had a good friend, who was having health issues. She posted something on that subject on the old search fb page.

What if he did it BEFORE the hit? Already emptied his pockets before he realized he was not alone?
Here's where I get frustrated. We don't know FOR SURE that he left $300 or the wallet THAT afternoon, could've already been there. The phone obviously materialized there sometime after the 9am call. All in all something BAD could've happened AFTER he emptied his pockets. For all we know it was RM leaving in his red car + nothing went afoul until after he left home that afternoon. It may have been already in the works, but not acted on until he was clear of his home. IF "he" went home that day there was a very good reason, or all was normal for him, until then. He could have gotten home, emptied pockets as he got out of car and then :bigfight:
I know there are reasons the dogs may not have hit on his scent. One of them being his scent was never there. I just don't get the feeling that many do, that he just waltzed off into the sunset. I sure hope he did, but I'm not seeing it.
1 - Suicide.
2 - Foul Play.

apologies slightly OT:

Teen dies in accident with remote-control helicopter

NEW YORK (AP) — A teenager operating a remote control helicopter in a New York City park has been struck in the head by it and killed.

Police say 19-year-old Roman Pirozek Jr. died Thursday afternoon near a parkway in Brooklyn. They say he suffered a severe head injury.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/09/05/teen-nyc-remote-control-helicopter/2773501/

Horrors! He probably got hit hard in the temple. So sad.

To bring the topic back around, maybe RM had a freak accident? Perhaps he was on a bike ride and he went flying over his handle bars. He suffered a broken neck or some other severe injury and he is in the thick brush or down a manhole. His bike was later taken by someone, who didn't realize it was there because of an accident. Probably far-fetched . . .

I do recall an incident where a man from Ohio disappeared from a hotel room. All his stuff was still in the room, including his wallet. Three years later, his skeleton was found in the bushes on the side of a busy, but not pedestrian friendly road. The road didn't have many businesses on that section as well. A motorist, who's car broke down, spotted a sneaker and then the skeleton in the brush. It was the missing man from the hotel. Apparently, he had gone running and got hit by a car. So, I imagine all sorts if scenarios ran through people's heads while he was missing, but his fate turned out to be a simple explanation.

Food for thought, but who knows? Sometimes things are complicated too . .

I wish a reporter would speak with RM's sister or mom...and find out what their thoughts are. Do they think he left, or that his wife has an idea of why he may have, or what may have happened to him? Is his poor mom still frantic or does she seem to have been told something that comforted her? Just...anything, really to try to get an idea if this man needs help or not.

I think all of this is plausible. I am stuck on the Money being left. Not a natural sign of someone who is about to up and leave their beloved wife and kids, even if the spouse had animosity to their spouse. The 'angry husband' against the wife never fit here. It just doesn't.

More to that afternoon.

He drives to the scrap yard. Fact.

He drives home. Fact.

Money in the garage drawer. Fact.

Phone and wallet in garage drawer. Fact.

Car found at Long Island Deer Park Depot. Fact.

There are several other facts provided.

These are the facts.

I don't buy the suicide thing. None of it adds up to suicide. I have to be reasonable. He was not suicidal. Nor a womanizer or the type to cheat and run on his wife and children. <modsnip> No one states the obvious anymore. JMO.

Is it really a fact that RM was home?

Is it really a fact that RM left those items there?

Did anyone in fact see RM get out of the red GTO at 2:40pm?

And did anyone in fact see RM get back in the GTO and drive away?

I don't see those as facts IMO
Nobody saw the actual person who was at that house IMO

Spot on, Psychedelia, I was thinking the exact same thing but you've articulated it perfectly. I always put it down to being a Gemini and having a curiosity to know EVERYTHING. :blushing:

I can't work out what has happened to Robert but I pray for him and his family that he comes home safely. :please:

Clarifying based on past posts; You are referring to Edgewood, correct?
