No we talked to the V-Insider for a little bit. It was open only to members and now it's only open to Mods

Wow! I must not be explaining this very well. This is what I said. I was in the "parking lot" participating. I saw the v-insider's posts there too. I posted as well.

IMHO here

RM driving home is not a fact
RM being in the house may not be a fact
RM "leaving" the scrap yard is not a fact

C'mon any young hungry reporters out there??
I would be all over that yard!

It bothers me that a week went by before RM's co workers mentioned that place.

Bolded by me

Agree. Makes me wonder why they didn't say anything sooner. Weren't they questioned early in the investigation? Didn't they question why he didn't show up for work? They must have known about his disappearance. Maybe the job site is unstructured? Workers come and go often? Since RM was a foreman, wouldn't he have been missed?

Just some thoughts . . .

I think all of this is plausible. I am stuck on the Money being left. Not a natural sign of someone who is about to up and leave their beloved wife and kids, even if the spouse had animosity to their spouse. The 'angry husband' against the wife never fit here. It just doesn't.
I agree with your take on that. IF he was suicidal, there would be no point in taking the money with him. IF something bad happened to him, maybe nobody involved even knew the money was there. JMO
More to that afternoon.

He drives to the scrap yard. Fact.

He drives home. Fact.

Money in the garage drawer. Fact.

Phone and wallet in garage drawer. Fact.

Car found at Long Island Deer Park Depot. Fact.

There are several other facts provided.

These are the facts.

I don't buy the suicide thing. None of it adds up to suicide. I have to be reasonable. He was not suicidal. Nor a womanizer or the type to cheat and run on his wife and children. <modsnip> No one states the obvious anymore. JMO.
BBM - I'm not saying he didn't or that I think he didn't, but we really don't know for sure "he" drove home that day. He was for a fact seen inside Arrow on a sec cam, but IIRC the outside cam didn't work that day or it has never been released to the public if he was seen leaving or not or in what vehicle or if he was alone. JMO
The picture we've been presented with agrees with your opinion of not being suicidal, however something amplified this to "endangered" + got LE involved sooner rather than later + I've often wondered if that was not because someone led them to believe (true or not) he was depressed / suicidal. I have no idea if he was the type to cheat, seen too many over the years that were "not the type" but did it anyway. JMO

What is the obvious in your opinion?

hey Eliza...you mentioned Matthew Soloman awhile back running like a deer because they had found his wife's body...leading police to it....did they trick him and say they had found it and then followed him to it???

He had LE basically living at his house saying things like where should we look, etc.

If i remember correctly, he came up with the idea to look there. Don't quote me as it's been a long time. I just remember hearing about his complete relief because he thought, she's found, his ordeal was over and he could be out of the spotlight. Little did he know it had just begun.

If a person thinks RM was NOT suicidal, would NOT be cheating on wife, etc...what is their opinion as to what has happened here? Where did he go, is he alive?

As far as the garage drawers...I am guessing they were used by RM in the past, since they were searched eventually. I have lived in current house 13 years and looked in garage yesterday and saw some drawers, lol...like for tools I guess. Never saw them before and would certainly not have looked in them, even if I had, if my husband went missing, unless he had used them in the past.
BBM - :silly:

BBM lunch pail terminology is very old fashioned. There are so many new soft, insulated bags to use. I wonder, did he make his own lunch at 4AM? Sometimes it's just easier to buy lunch. I sometimes bring lunch if trying to save money or if I know I will be unable to leave all day.
I hear ya on habits!!!! I have alot of them and some weird quirks too----and that makes me very attuned to any habits or quirks that others may have---
"lunch pail" is an old-fashioned sort of word ( I focus alot on words as y'all know). Mr C has a soft cooler he uses for a lunch box---holds water bottles, fruit, sandwiches, snack and has a zippered part for napkins, advil, tylenol.
Possible it was used as a weapon?? Am thinking RM took it along with his tools.
Bunny - I've asked - Did he regularly pack his lunch, did IM pack it for him, did he go out to lunch, did he usually eat with same co-worker/s or alone, where, what was the routine usually? I would pack my lunch the night before. JMO

:cup: Good morning cawfee. Just wanted to clarify, lunch pail is the word we were given, which gave me the mental picture. I think it just as easy could be a soft cooler called a lunch pail for who knows why. I do believe it is located wherever his tools are. JMO
I think a club to lock the car steering wheel could be a weapon. :doorhide:

If LE isn't treating it as criminal, IMO nor should we.
LE stated they are investigating all leads as I linked + quoted yesterday. LE is unable to treat it as criminal unless or until they find some evidence to indicate such. Or that is my lay person understanding. JMO

BBM - if he did eat with co-workers, odds are there would have been small talk and they (co-workers) would have the best sense of what was going on in this man's life.

I remember when I was working and I would go on coffee breaks/lunch with my co-workers. In some ways we shared more info with each other than we did with our spouses!

I have no link for this, but on the old fb search page, one of the administrators said he bought lunch that day. I hope I'm recalling this correctly, so take it as a grain of salt.

That said, if he did buy his lunch, then why did he take the lunch pail? Did he just leave it in the car all the time?

By the way, I think lunch pail is like calling a "living room" a "parlor." very old fashion. Maybe he grew up with a dad, who was in the trades too.

Just some thoughts--no facts.

or maybe it was a lunch pail...yanno a metal one....just like Archie Bunkers...they still make'em!!!...my ex used to carry papers and junk from work home in his...so RM could have done the same...maybe what he took scrap in from work to Arrow and then to home...and put whatever he took from home in pail

...also the time frames fit...except there is a gap from when he left work till he shows up at Arrow

Left work at 12:30 (co-workers said)
Seen on Sec Cam at Arrow 2:15
Red Car (or hovercraft lol) seen at home 2:41-2:51

if you check out the distances and driving times on Bing it fits except we don't where he was after work till he went to Arrow an hour and 45 min ...I think he was doing stuff getting ready to leave

Exactly. I think if he took breaks with the same crew each day, which many of us do out of habit or circumstance, they would have some insight as to his mood that day + in the time period leading up to his disappearance. Maybe NOTHING was out of the norm. That in itself would be very telling, to me. Or maybe he had talked about something that seemed of no importance but could give investigators a clue. JMO

To keep water or something to drink in?

Brilliant thinking! Although, I wonder if a tool was found in the vehicle to put it back together? Yet, a multi-tool would probably work, which he could have worn on his belt, so it was with him . . or. some bikes have a small tool bag attached to the frame too . .

Id bet Robert has a work bench and one of thos huge tool thingy chests with a lot of drawers!
I have a large garage and we have cabinets and a unit of drawers for organization of daily sheet we use it has like 8 drawers in it.
I think Robert used these drawers every day Im willing to bet my last dollar his keys were left with that wallet and the money and the phone and the person that drove that GTO either had the spare or took it from the garage as Robert peddled off on his bike.... He was followed! JMO

BBM - Add to that his phone last pinged at 1:45 (Huntington / Melville). Locals said that is a 10 min (no more than 15) drive to Arrow.
Its JMO - I think that was the moment (1:45) when his phone was diverting from its direct route home from work. In some ways that is obvious as Arrow is not on a direct route home. However there is still a gap of time when other destination/s may factor in. Or maybe he was just shooting the breeze with the guys in the parking lot at Arrow or stopping for gas or?

Regarding the "lunch pail", I believe it was the reporter's verbiage on that blog, perhaps that's what its called in her town, county, state. I don't know if she was from Long Island or not. Just wanted to throw this out there as it keeps coming up.
