She's an older woman. She may not be on social media or the internet for that matter. I would not assume the woman is not suffering while her son is missing and her grandchildren are devastated.

Another question
Did Mom and Ida get along?

Im not so sure his kids and mom have not spoken to him.
JMO

I think if she had waited before calling the cops he probably would have contacted her...I think she made the decision for him to be missing it wasn't him,,,
what if letters were sent?

If that were true, wouldn't the case be closed? He would no longer be considered missing if he were in touch with the family.

this I can definitely see! I mean why else would she be looking through the garage by 4pm?? I am sorry, no matter how much your in love or insecure...you dont start panicking about someone being only an hour late unless you have had an argument or they made some earlier reference to "giving up" which she adamantly denies.

Sorry... IMO of course...

Let's remember, we're only hearing this from one source. We don't really know what's true. One possibility is it could have been staged.

The details have changed and been inconsistent all along. :twocents:

It can't just be that she happened to walk into the garage at 4pm and saw his wallet, could it?

IIRC she was not panicking at 4pm. That came later, when she called her relatives in LE.

She may not have been panicking until 6 when she made the first reported calls but I doubt she happened to find them in a drawer?

If you are having trouble with your PM storage, try contacting an admin, either Kimster or Salem.

I really don't know.

There are an awful lot of assumptions about someone who is a victim by WS standards.

Maybe that's what it is......Maybe that's why the phone, wallet ,and 300 dollars was found at home so that those items would not be found on him or in the car to be stolen. He didn't want them stolen. The car at the train station Looks like he took off, when maybe in reality he wanted to commit suicide and maybe he is in that preserve, hidden well, and once found maybe it would take DNA to identify him, seeing as he had no ID on him.

IMOO.

What if the wallet and the phone and the money were left in the car and not placed in the garage by RM.

Could everything had been taken out of the car before LE was called when it was found it was found I believe by relatives....

Notice nothing in this case is said or was found by anyone other than family.

We are trying to find out what happened to a man that didn't come home.

Who is the victim? If its not considered a crime?

If that is true, then why would they "hide" the items in drawers, only to say they were found in drawers later? What point would that serve, except to make it look like RM returned home?

So she didnt stumble upon it...she looked for it and found it.

If, hypothetically speaking, i came home and my husbands car was home but He was not...i would call his cell phone. I would also look in the spot he usually keeps his wallet to see if it was there.

Does this make sense?

Exactly! Remember we see a red car we don't see him. No one saw him at the house...

IM and the family are considered victims.

Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civl and constructive way and ONLY IF IT IS RELEVANT TO THE CASE. Additionally, sleuthing family members that are not suspect is not allowed. It's been debated here about the time she started panicking. Rob apparently is still missing.......soooo... Whatever time the panic started, she either has ridiculously good instincts, or she knew something "hit the fan" that put the flag up that he was out of there, and not returning anytime soon.

the message b 4 this one says HIDE in the drawer?
was the phone or money UNDER stuff in the drawer and hidden?

It is really weird that a wife is rummaging thru drawers in the garage
when the hubby hasnt come home. Yes, u WOULD be calling the cell phone repeatedly.

and then maybe hit the FIND THE PHONE button on everyone's iphone that they have so you can see where the phone is ...literally.
(it is a huge help when you dont know where your phone is)

What wife is going to rummage thru a garage drawer for anything when its only 4 pm or even 6pm...????

makes no sense.

The reason I worded my post with "hide" is because it was in a drawer, and not in plain sight.

with IM and friends/family being the first to find his car, I'm not convinced that his phone was not found there rather than the drawer. again, all "facts" are from one source, and have often changed.

And who knows how much they contaminated the car before LE got there to process. I am not implying they did it purposely, but just the nature of them going through the car, looking for clues, a note, his phone, etc.....

Vedder I have been coming here for a longgggggg time and I know about the victims but what am seeing here is more concern for his wife then the man that's missing why?????
why cant we discuss what we think might have happened here?

I have seen no bashing no name calling but I do believe something happened between these two ppl that made him leave.

We cant say this we cant say that:banghead:

No one is here to crucify anyone its a discussion!

If that is where he always put his wallet...then i dont think it is THAT farfetched that by 6 pm after not being able to reach him for hours she would look to see if his wallet was there.

Bottom line is, if he didn't want these items found, he could have ditched them anywhere from 4:30 am until 2:40pm. Anywhere from Brooklyn to Commack. So I don't buy it that he was hiding these. That's just silly. He wanted them found, or for some reason wanted them safe if he was planing on returning.
