thank u for saying that
it is oid....

fact - oid.

Factoid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A factoid is a questionable or spurious (unverified, false, or fabricated) statement presented as a fact, but without supporting evidence. The word can also be used to describe a particularly insignificant or novel fact, in the absence of much relevant context.

Only his wife would know if a weapon is missing, unless he had one she was unaware of.
And if a gun is missing and she told LE as much, that could be partly why they are not treating this case as foul play.
Just a theory...and not even sure I believe it FWIW. If she really thought he took a gun and was suicidal, surely searches would be happening out there near the reserve every weekend? Because where else to look? You have to clear the most obvious place, which seems to be this reserve area.

For those who think suicide...why the silence from his family....why the very quiet position of LE....and SAR now....(here's hoping they get back to Trackergd) and why why why are questions considered so offensive???

I'm not off the fence of suicide vs. voluntarily missing....

I have never thought he was dead, if we're taking a poll...

Not necessarily.... if there were weapons in the house, other family members might know where they are kept, so it might not be just the wife who knows if one is missing.
My brother and I knew where my dads guns were in the house growing up, and we also knew we were not allowed to touch the guns. But we knew exactly where they were and my brother knew what specific kinds my dad had.
IMOO.

Let me rephrase, as I didn't mean to state these as facts:

Last we heard, LE had the car.
I believe it was the family member that is LE that found the car---- but I'm not certain. This may not be accurate.

Sorry about that

....according to IM - good friends of theirs found the car

I feel more strongly that he is dead than alive. But I'm not 100% sure of anything in this case. Too many people not acting natural.

I dont think he left on his own just because he wanted a new life.
I feel he either had to leave or was forced to leave.

If he had to leave or was forced to leave, do you think that leaving the phone at the house was a way for him to let IM know that he had to leave, that he was at home, but now he had to go?

IMOO.

I think he knew he was in danger for whatever reason and the phone, wallet would be of no use.

Personally I think this sort of thing only happens in movies. How many adults men go missing because they are forced to leave? I can't think of any case.

But listen to IM's words. She pleads with him to come home because that is where he would be safe. Not "come home because your children miss you, you bonehead". Not "release my husband you bad people holding him hostage".

I am thinking if you take all of the evidence as we know it and try very hard to believe it all to be true, the outcome is not good for RM.

My top theories are tied for the number 1 spot: drug deal gone bad and suicide. Followed by leaving on his own, which I wish could be the real outcome but I am falling less and less enamored with. I just do not see him leaving those two beautiful children to start a new life.

I think IM is 100% a victim here. Even though I am frustrated beyond belief by the lack of action on her part. I think she's just doing all that she can do emotionally. Sometimes people cope differently than we do and we have a hard time understanding their actions.

My 2 cents.

We are missing some key information and that is why its such a mystery. It might all be answered by some more information, but so much is being withheld, protected and guarded for some unknown reason.

I agree that people are not acting natural. But I think he is alive.

One of my theories all along has been an addiction.
A drug deal gone bad. An overdose. Strung out somewhere (unshaven).
Idk. I, too, cannot see him just leaving.

I suspect the wife.

I think that's why he left his wallet. In case he got arrested he would not be identified.

Someone here said his fingerprints are on file. Is that true?
