It just feels like its all about appearances. And a man leaving his wife doesn't make for a perfect appearance. But a mysterious disappearance is ok. JMO

He does not have to disappear to leave his wife. . This this was done for a cause
And I think it was well thought out.

If it was done for a Cause, then is the cause meaning RM left IM for whatever his reason was within the marriage, or RM is missing, but not of his own volition?
I know that, for myself, I keep going back and forth as to the real reason why RM is missing.
IMOO.

I Googled RM and found a forum for his IBEW local and read the posts there. Since it isn't legit news I can't link it. Essence of the thread was a member was surprised to see a brother was MIA and not one post was on the board. He got a little play with comments about salvage copper being a hot issue amongst members. They said that RM was a foreman on the big project he was working on which might explain why he was the one that got to take the salvage to the yard. Some of the guys speculated that sometimes members have just walked away from their lives. Others countered with the fact that he had kids and a pension to think about.
No one who knew him personally posted but those that did post asked for anyone who knew him or knew anything to step up.

I also think the seat was moved up to get something out of the back. Was this car a 2 or 4 door? If a 2 the front seat has to be pulled forward if not moved forward to get things or people out of the back. I'm also still stuck on what happened to his missing bike.
If I were the detectives working the case I would be Googling the web for clues. This forum is a plethora of bright ideas based on a few slim facts. As said detective I would find a way of feeding shareable facts with this brain trust.
Does LE detectives even know that this site exists? If not, would it hurt to advise them that others 'have their back' in an unofficial way?

I know Tree-- the "why" of it is confounding----I think this is a private matter that went publicly off the rails.

I think LE knows about WS----SmartSassy.
And am certain that Local 3 has found their way here as well.

LE probably isn't spending much time investigating if they really believe no foul play has occurred...why would they?

I guess b/c the case isnt closed yet.

True but I think that mostly means taking tips and following up on them, more than actively working a "non-foul play related" adult missing case. JMO only.

Thanks for the picture of the car. It makes more sense that the seat was pushed forward. With 2 doors the only way to get something off the back seat is to fold it down and probably scoot the seat up as well. His tools, bike, or a duffle bag could have been put on or in the back seat. The bike could have been disassembled to fit. Someone mentioned that there was a problem with the latch on his trunk. Not sure if that was true, but if so then anything of value would be on the seat not in the trunk.

I agree. Too many for them to be motion activated lights.

Could they just be lights too show off the home's facade? Maybe they light up the columns? It is possible they are cameras, but they are awfully high up. Maybe there is a zoom feature . .

If they are cameras, they should have captured all the activity that day near the garage.

[Rant] Looking for the man? How? SAR will not respond. Parks will not respond. Being told to keep looking without a hard clue where to start is pretty pointless. I have the gut feeling that if I showed up with a group of hand picked SAR searchers, I would be told to go home...probably escorted out by Parks and LE. I think the poster hanging campaign is already moving along... Just what in the heck am I supposed to do to help when my hands are tied? [/Rant]

Sorry folks.... :banghead:

I sometimes wonder what would happen if someone showed up at RM's workplace.....just a reg guy..... and asked for RM...like they were looking for him as a foreman...what would they be told???

They could be told that he no longer works there. If RM was laid off or fired, I think most employers would not give the reason he is not there anymore. If he wasn't laid off and wasn't fired, maybe they would say he is no longer working here, or maybe they would indulge in the fact that he is missing.
IMOO.
