I agree, it could have been a diversion or maybe a spot to just dump the car. But then I think they wouldn't lock the car. But one thing is clear for me (not fact, IMO) RM left the money and phone at home (if leaving all behind, why not just leave it in the car) and then left. There may have been a snap judgement for him to bolt (looking scared on the Arrow video) and just leave. I sometimes wonder if this was a case of road rage and the perp followed him home. Perhaps they got into it in front of his house, perp takes off and he goes after them. Then? Who knows. But if there was an altercation later, there may have been no evidence of a crime or murder in the car. Just my thoughts and theories, no facts.

Let me just first say THANK YOU for posting in a nice way, indicating no facts, etc....

Secondly, I have thought about this exact scenario of road rage but I just don't buy it. How much road rage leads to actual murder, and from there, the perp makes it SO CLEAN that there is no trace of this man? I can't wrap my head around that. Road rage usually involves both vehicles driving a bit wildly, the drivers cursing or yelling, etc.....but for No one to see or hear anything, makes me discount this theory.

A bit different from a research doctorate.

She went to college first for a degree in history and early childhood education and then went to law school for the JD.

Regardless, RM was 28 when he got married. Did he go to college, too? Did he apprentice to be an electrician? In other words, did something from his past (those 10 years, give or take, between high school and marriage) come back to haunt him?

There is more to RM than the few scraps given to us by that one source. May not be pertinent at all, but then again, it might be.

I agree, windstorm. Everyone was so busy doing detective work on others that something in RM's past may have slipped through the cracks. Maybe there is a connection or a clue in his past. IMO

I have posted earlier about the DP station. My husband has been commuting out of there for 10 years- and I commute from there once a week as well. A Friday in June- a so called "summer Friday" would definitely be less crowded than usual. Lost of people take Fridays off after Memorial Day or just leave early. You absolutely can see the difference in the parking situation. Plus, spots open up all day long as not everyone works 9-5. The night workers come home all throughout the late morning and early afternoon.

Hmmm, possibly he got lucky? There have been situations where I got lucky with getting a so-called "front seat" or convenient parking spot at a very busy/crowded event. It does happen. JMO

I know, it's a stretch but there is always a first. Let's think of 'Follow Home Robberies'. Unthinkable before the 80's but now very common place. Crime and criminals are changing the way they do 'business'.

Exactly! We still no virtually nothing about him except he is 46, is married, lives in Dix Hills in a huge house, has 2 kids, loves his car, forgets his wallet, doesn't use his cell phone much, has virtually no internet footprint, drives to work, is a union electrician and "outdoorsy".

I THINK (from research) that he grew up in Old Bethpage, NY, but that's about it.

Did he play football? Have a high school sweetheart? Have a previous serious relationship? Loves his car....did he hang out with other car guys in his 20's?

I really do think this is pertinent information to have. I agree, this wasn't random.

That scenario has crossed my mind. Someone could have came to their senses after the deed was done and then covered their tracks . . .

Agree! Did he have friends from the old neighborhood/high school? Maybe he was still in touch with them? He must have hung out with someone back then, before he met IM . .

RM is 46 and him and IM have been married 18 years. That puts him getting married at approximately 28 years old. Anybody ever wondered if he was married before?

Maybe he had an on and off relationship with someone, until he met IM? Before 28, most people have a couple of close relationships, even if they don't get married. JMO

Ummmm, not sure if I can link this, but I did an advanced search on google to omit "missing" from search results to get to older stuff that might be online. I started playing around with search terms (different cities, etc.). Basically, I have no idea how I got to this search result, but I found a "psychic crime fighter forum". Some kind of odd things on his thread. I won't link unless a mod says I can.

Now, concerning psychics. Do we have any following this thread? I was working on the Willow Long case when she was still just missing (early morning day 2) because a friend of mine asked me to (the area where Willow Long was from was her hometown). Anyway, I posted some somewhat insider information my friend had told me. I was contacted by a member on here who was watching the thread, but didn't post. She told me that she was "psychic/intuit" and her very strong intuition/feeling was that Willow never left that house alive. Turns out she was right.

Any psychics/intuits following this case that have any "feelings"?

I've wondered but I've never been able to find anything on the Internet regarding a previous marriage.

New ideas are wonderful! However, Websleuths doesn't allow psychic discussion. We used to have forums expressly for this and it got so far out of hand, it's not allowed at all anymore.

Deleted my post...redundant.

This maybe way off base, but what if RM promised to pick up someone up at the train station and it occurred to him while he was in the garage at home, so he drove off in a hurry to meet the train.

Okay, there are holes in this . . .

good point CC--- IMO a garage is an odd place to leave a wallet (it doesnt seem to me like a secure enough place---I am tho a belt and suspenders kinda gal so). But if he switched all ID, credit cards, debit cards AND HIS UNION CARD AND HIS MEDICAL INSURANCE CARD (where are the bloody things) leaving only unimportant paper receipts, business cards then its totally plausible to switch wallets and leave an empty one in the drawer in garage.

Has it been stated somewhere that his Med card and union card are missing?

Thanks Cat. Completely understandable!

Maybe that is who he was texting, per NCNY, that IM didn't care for.

There are plenty of places along Commack Road that one could pull over and dispose of a body deep (a few hundred feet) in the woods.

Yes, there is Otsego Park, on Commack Rd just south of their home.

When I read what NCNY posted about the texting, I read it that it was a male. In previous threads, some people read it to be female though.

Could have been somebody from a past relationship. Could have been a high school buddy that RM used to go drinking and/or running around with and was therefore a "bad influence". (or a co worker that was always wanting him to go out).

And, while on that subject, I don't care what age you are, there is always a chance of some peer pressure. If all the other union guys go out for a beer on Tuesday (or Wednesday or Friday) and RM never goes because he "has" to get right home, I would assume they would tease him endlessly - and would be people that IM wouldn't care for.
