I found a guy that has a lot of similarities to this guy.

2 months after Rocco went missing from NY, a man was found deceased in St Catherines, Ontario, not far from the Canada/US border. There are many similarities and i'm wondering what people think about it. One was named Rocco, and the other had a Salvation Army card with 'Roscoe', which can easily be misheard, misspelt etc.

Both were ~5'10", grey and balding.
Both had an abdominal scar, wore a timex watch, grey pants, brown leather shoes, a pink or red shirt, and a blue "sport" jacket/coat.

I am struggling to find any other sources for these guys aside from RCMP and namus, can anyone help find anything more? Thanks...

I couldn't find any additional info. Are you saying you found a copy of the draft card on the missing man and the DOB matched that on the card found with the John Doe? I believe there are some great similarities with this possible match and likely not considered given country borders - Poughkeepsie, NY is about 400 miles from St. Catherines, however, Mr. Recchia was last seen with an overnight bag heading toward the train station. If the draft card is Mr. Recchia's and the DOB lines up with that found with John Doe, then well, that is amazing. I hope you continue to pursue this possibility with outreach to the authorities in both cases.

Yes I found the WW2 draft card online, and the DOB matched. Unfortunately I cannot find it again, but it sounds like this is our man anyways.

I saw your post just before this one. Thank you for advocating for Rocco.

So one of the family messaged me and said that the dna didnt match. That's bizarre considering the similarities:
Same date and place of birth
Virtually same name (easily misread with poor script)
Looks the same, same scar etc
Clothing and watch match

Anyone have any insight? (illigitimate or adopted, or dna mixup maybe?)
