"Rochester police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a "badly decomposed" body Saturday afternoon on the city's west side.

Officers found the body of an unidentified adult male behind a building at Orchard Street and Riley Park shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Capt. Michael Callari of the Rochester Police Department.

The body appeared to have been there for at least a few days. The case is being handled as an unattended death."

The medical examiner is still investigating the cause of death but police say there were no obvious signs of trauma."
