Cohoes police still looking for missing man, asking for public's help

Ronnie Chaput, 51, was last seen in Cohoes on September 8.

Police said they “have exhausted all current leads” and are now asking for the public’s help.

Ronnie is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and has brown eyes.

Chaput’s roommate says the last time anyone saw Ronnie was when he left his apartment on Forest Avenue in Cohoes back on September 8. Then, he seemed to vanish into thin air.

She says her fiancé last saw Ronnie more than a month ago when he was leaving their apartment with a tent and his mountain bike. Ronnie was known to go hiking.

“But not this long. Not this long.”

And definitely not without contacting anyone.

Cohoes Police say today’s search came up empty handed, but they say they will continue the effort to find Chaput just as they would anyone else.

As of six days ago police were still searching for Ronnie Chaput. They enlisted the help of a drone, and searched several areas.

They need to pay attention to the entire story being told by the "roommate"...is the bike and tent scenario only based on what a mentally ill crack addict w a violent history said ?has anyone looked in that house for clues? a crime anything ?this building ..apt ..is a known crack den flop house for who ever ..for yrs ..then we also have the sketchy gf w the son story in the mix..who told that version ? ...something sinister happened to this guy and i 100 % believe it ..

Couldnt find an official article/obituary but on his FB page on the 22nd December it says his body was found and then a bunch of posts from family and friends saying RIP and giving condolences to the family.
