A very interesting case. I believe it fits the type of case where "if there had been CCTV it might have been solved". I read the first two entire threads. I didn't read the rest, but I would like to know what is the consensus here regarding the boyfriend? Today, if something like this happened, we would already be talking about a possible femicide, but back then that wasn't discussed.

I've listened to the recent podcasts related to Sylvia's case and have been thinking about the area surrounding the Island Theater and SI Mall. The Fresh Kills Landfill has been mentioned quite a bit. In the mid-1960s-70s, The landfill area across-the-street from the theater was not immediately accessible due dirt mountains that were at least 20 feet high or more.You'd have to drive through Travis on local roads for an access point as the West Shore Expressway may not have been fully connected at the time. On Arthur Kill Road there was a smaller landfill named Brookfield Landfill that is now a park. It was just east of Al Deppe's and Val's Pizza. The area is north of Great Kills which is above Eltingville. Just thought I'd mention it.
