Jailbirds at Bronx Central Booking heckled Eddy Coello with shouts of "sicko" after he was locked up on charges of strangling Tina Adovasio and dumping her body in Westchester County.

"I told him he was a little b---- for doing her like that," said Joel Gutierrez, 32, an accused drug dealer. "I said 'You ain't even a real man for hurting that pretty lady.'"

Coello, 38, ignored the verbal abuse, which persisted during his 20-hour stay in the Bronx lockup, inmates said.

A correction officer who witnessed some of the taunts said Coello looked rattled.

His next court appearance is Monday.

Good to see not all criminals support (alleged) wife killers. This one will be in for a harsh reality check, especially considering he's an ex-cop. :behindbar MOO

:rose: Rest in Peace, Tina

Good feature article from January 2013:

http://theuptownchronicle.com/?p=5507

On October 15, 2012 it took the Bronx Supreme Court jury less than four hours to convict Coello of second degree murder in the death of Tina Adovasio...

When it was his turn to speak, Coello, still staring forward, apologized to Adrienne, members of Adovasio’s family and her children....

Judge Fabrizio listened to Coello’s words. Then he gave him the maximum sentence, twenty-five years to life, for the death of his wife.
