Horrible in light of Christmas and Newtown.
:tears: :tears:

The perp's sister is still unaccounted for? I'm guessing she's somewhere in the rubble.

I hope this is the right place to post this, if not feel free to ask a mod to remove it. I have had tears in my eyes since I heard the radio calls from the injured firefighter, and immediately thought of this song. I'd like to dedicate it now, to those brave firemen and other responders.

I have many firefighters in my family and they are the true definition of heroes. I am sorry for these men and their families as well as the other surviving firemen.

These injustices dealt out by judges and PA/PD's are made in court AFTER they have consumed a few too many martinis & manhattans.
I know......I used to bartend.:what:

I would also like to know if a mental evaluation was done before sentencing in the 92 y/o grandmothers murder.

Police believe the fire was started when Spengler fired a flare gun. That gun was found at the scene. Investigators say Spengler had a pistol, a shotgun and a semi-automatic AR-15 type rifle with 30 shot magazine capability. One of the magazines was spent and three were unspent. Police are now trying to figure out where he got them.

Oh he killed himself after?? Effing coward!!! I guess someone forgot to tell him he wasn't supposed to have a gun in the first place.

He likes killing people. I wonder how many unsolved murders are this guys work?

Especially considering he reportedly didn't like his sister.

"A friend of a gunman who lured firefighters to a fatal ambush in upstate New York says he didn't seem violent but hated the sister who lived with him."

The friend said that the killer 'loved his mama to death'...interesting choice of words, hmmm...

I could never be friends with someone who beat his grandma to death with a hammer. Never.

This is just heartbreaking. As a teenager, my first "hero" was the firefighter who stayed by my side, as my home went up in flames. That man helped me through a very traumatic time...and i'll never forget him, and what I learned in that time.
I got to see just how much these Fire fighters and volunteers do, how much they care, selflessly give and how amazing they are. All the while, risking their own lives, for us.

This is so tragic, so sad. Clearly, there are far too many people in mourning today, instead of enjoying the holiday. Let's all keep these families and friends in our thoughts and prayers....

And this guy was a convicted felon. How did convicted felon get a Bushmaster rifle? Did he use any of the loopholes to purchase it?

I thought the same thing. Additionally, I can't help but wonder how many victims, including his sister, he possibly dumped in the lake. That seems to be a possible area bodies might not surface?

I don't understand what is funny about this situation. He was a convicted felon, thus he couldn't legally own guns. Yet he had a bushmaster rifle.

I agree that nothing is funny about this situation. I was laughing at your questions. Just because he was a criminal doesn't mean he couldn't get his hands on a gun or that it was even hard for him to get one. Criminals own guns illegally all the time. If they followed the rules then they wouldn't be criminals. It's like questioning how someone gets drugs.
