I think this might be Steven Reynoso

Reynoso was in New York with his girlfriend. She told police that Reynoso had told her he was going to visit friends as she was getting ready to see a Broadway show.

Reynoso was last seen leaving the Renaissance Hotel on W. 47th Street and 7th Avenue.Took an Uber cab from New York City to location to Jersey City. (Namus file)

The paper cites Reynoso’s father as saying that his son was trying to market a hangover cure he invented when he disappeared. The paper also cites local officials as saying Reynoso was in the city for a brief vacation with his girlfriend.

Family members declined to be interviewed by The Times on Sunday in Los Angeles. But the New York Daily News reports include additional details learned from the father, whom the paper identified as 80-year-old Angel Reynoso.

Unfortuatly I can't read this myself.

After the younger Reynoso failed to return, the girlfriend stayed at the hotel for three days — and had her mother fly in to be with her — before returning to California after she ran out of money. Back in L.A., she visited Reynoso’s family to return the missing man’s luggage, then left.

“That was the last time we saw her,” the paper quotes the father as saying. “We don’t know anything about her.”

Through his Facebook site, where he didn't post anymore after August 13, 2013 there is a conection with Core Real Estate and CORE Design & Construction Mgmt.

All together a very strange case. Maybe a business deal went wrong?

Wow @Bit of hope what a fascinating story and it does sound as though there could have been potential for things to go very wrong. One has to wonder about the Gf. Wouldn’t you have called the parents later down the track to see if their son had been found? She had their address to return the luggage so surely she could have written if she forgot to get their number. So very odd!

Steven Reynoso, from California, went missing two days before Thanksgiving in Manhattan. He had been on a trip with a girlfriend.

All they can do is wait.

The heartbroken family of a California man who mysteriously vanished during a recent trip to Midtown said Saturday they haven't heard a single word from their missing loved one in nearly two weeks. They said they also haven't heard from the man's girlfriend — the last person to see him alive — since she dropped off his luggage.
"We just hope we can see him again," Angel Reynoso, 80, said about his son Steven, who hasn't been heard from since Nov. 25, two days before Thanksgiving. "We don't know where he is or what happened. He's never disappeared before. All we can do is wait and wait."

Steven Reynoso, 30, of Los Angeles, took his girlfriend to the Renaissance Hotel on Seventh Ave. in Times Square for a short vacation the week before Thanksgiving, officials said.
The young man's girlfriend reported him missing, claiming he was last seen wearing a black peacoat, black jeans and black sneakers.

The elder Reynoso said his son's girlfriend stayed at the hotel for three days after his son's disappearance — and had her mother fly in to be with her — but returned to California when she ran out of money. When she landed, she visited Reynoso's family to return the missing man's luggage, then left.

"That was the last time we saw her," he said. "We don't know anything about her."

Steven Reynoso was trying to market a hangover cure he had invented when he disappeared, his father said.

The tourist's cellphone either died or was shut off about a day after he disappeared, said family members, who claimed the entrepreneur was always accessible.

"He would take off for a few days, but we would always be able to get in touch with him," the elder Reynoso said. "It didn't matter if it was day or night, if you called him, he would answer."

Now, with no answers, all Angel Reynoso and his family do is wait by the phone.

"It's been more than 10 days and nothing has happened," he said. "Whatever's happened, happened. All we can do is hope for the best."

Reynoso stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 260 pounds. He has no mental or physical impairments, cops said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.
