John Todaro, 49, of Amherst, N.Y., was charged Wednesday with possession of child pornography and disseminating child porn. Charges of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child are both felonies.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Clarence with the assistance from the Troop A Computer Crimes Unit, conducted an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation in the town of Amherst. Investigation determined Todaro possessed child [SAM] and was disseminating child [SAM].

Todaro was arraigned in the town of Amherst Court and subsequently released. It wasn't immediately clear if he has entered a plea or retained an attorney. He is scheduled to return to court in May.

This is so upsetting. I support BACA. They do good work. But just as with any organization that deals with children, predators will find their way in to have an excuse for their proximity to vulnerable children.
