They did seem to initially think he wasn’t suicidal. I wonder what the cause of death will reveal? Could he have become lost and simply succumbed to the elements?

OCSO CID detectives believed Scott wasn’t a harm to himself or others and believed he didn’t have known enemies who wished harm upon him when he was missing. CID also believed that Scott wasn’t harmed or was in harm’s way, as no evidence suggested he was under duress at the time.

Scott’s cause of death is yet to be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The police investigation continues to be non-criminal and will be pending the Medical Examiners results.
