NY - Wife tries to kill hubby's love child, Brooklyn

I did not mean to blame the victim in my last post. I always read the phamplets, and when I was pregnant I was very careful about what I took. I can see if she thought she was talking to her DR and was told to take them she did.

I do believe the perp is completely to blame and should not see the light of day. As this woman will constantly be looking over her shoulder to protect her child.

jnTexas--I didn't think you were blaming the victim at all but you did bring up a good reminder for all of us. Read the small print!! If it doesn't seem right, don't take it!! And if you're pregnant, read it twice AND call the pharmacist.

txsvicki--Can you remember where and when you saw that TV show? I wonder if that horrid woman got the idea from TV? Or maybe it's a murder mystery book plot. I just can't imagine that someone could cook up a plot like this.

DA: New York woman lied to try to get baby off life support
By Associated Press
January 28, 2010, 1:28PM

NEW YORK -- A New York City woman pretended to be a hospital administrator, called an emergency room and tried to get hospital staff to take the baby of her husband's mistress off life support, prosecutors said Thursday.

Kisha Jones, who was originally charged last year in a plot to kill the baby, has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, attempted abortion and other charges in a new indictment.
....
The previous allegations were not included in the new indictment, but prosecutors said they remain under investigation.

Authorities said Thursday that the baby is healthy.

apparently this woman will stop at nothing.....my Lord, it's a good thing she's locked up....she is one scary creature!

Yeah, I'd hate to be up against this woman....she literally thought of almost everything.

She had an action and reaction for everything that happened. Thankfully she was CAUGHT!

That poor baby!!! All that suffering , why did this woman want this loser!!!!! He doe not even work why did this child s mom sleep with him and then to get pregnant by such a loser. What kind of life is that baby going to have with a mother who makes such poor decisions.I am in no way condoning the wife s action but who takes any medication without fully reading what your taking. My sympathies to this poor child.

This is what unbridled obsession looks like. I'm starting to think that this mother and child need to be placed in the Witness Protection Program. I don't know if that child will ever be safe. This is really terrifying. This woman will most likely get time but we all know she'll get out. And who's the first person she's going to go look for?

I was just going to say that. The person she should have been angry at is the husband, he is the one who had the committment to her but cheated anyway. And killing the child wouldn't change the fact that he had an affair. She may have feared that since the hubby was unemployed, she would have to pay to support the child. But if she dumped him, there wouldn't be any danger of that.

Totally agree. I just hate it when married men & women blame the other man/other woman when the blame should really be placed towards the person who created this mess in the first place.

At first, I felt sorry for the wife for the affair alone, but after hearing this story, my sympathy for her has gone down the drain. You don't go & try to kill an innocent child in this situation.

I just hope that this poor woman & her child gets as far away from her as they can!

January 2011:

Kisha Jones, a Brooklyn mother who tried to abort and then kill her husband’s love child, was driven to the crime by the hormonal surge of her own pregnancy, her lawyer said after Jones pleaded guilty to felony assault today...

After Hunter’s baby was born early because of the drug, Jones was also charged with attempted murder for allegedly pretending to be a hospital official and ordering the baby be taken off its ventilator.

Jones, who has four children including the baby she bore in Kings County Hospital around the same time as Hunter, agreed to a 4-year-prison term to close the case...

There were no long-term health effects for Hunter or her baby.

Jones and her husband are still together, Turner said.

after the baby was born two months premature, but survived, someone tried unsuccessfully to slip a toxic substance through hospital security to the infant in the guise of milk for the baby, according to prosecutors...

Jones in October used a doctor's prescription pad to forge a prescription for Hunter for a drug that can induce labor, telling the pharmacist that the drug was needed for a "procedure."...

after obtaining the drug, Jones called Hunter numerous times claiming to be the pregnant woman's doctor's office and telling Hunter that her doctor had sent a prescription for her to pick up and take immediately.
Hunter immediately took the drug after receiving the phone calls, thinking it was a legitimate prescription from her doctor, authorities said.

Soon after, she was rushed to a hospital with severe abdominal pain, and gave birth to a boy.

A source at the Brooklyn district attorney's office confirmed to CNN that following the child's birth, an unidentified man went to the hospital with what he claimed was breast milk for Hunter's baby, but the liquid was later determined to be toxic. Hospital staffers alerted police.

New York police say they are still investigating that incident and looking for the man involved.
