Put down the "Rock Hard" and toss out the "Hard Rock". Just two of the names for an illegal aphrodisiac made from toad venom.

A 35 year old NYC man died after purchasing and ingesting this aphrodisiac which can cause fatal heart problems. Even if applied to the skin it's dangerous. This product is sold at "adult stores" and looks like a little piece of hard rock. Yikes.

Why? I've asked male friends about this. What is up with having that thing up? It's just not natural when you hear a commercial say "If you have an erection for over four hours go to the emergency room".

While doing my little poll I asked male friends would they eat this or do that? Always the answer was yes. These are guys 50 years old or so. I have to take my poll to the masses. Like, "Would you eat a pile of doggie doop if it meant you'd have that lead in your pencil for hours?"

Filly, I know what you meant but "take my poll to the masses" cracked me up.

Being able to get it up (and keep it up) and providing for the family are two major things to guys, IMO. I wonder why this guy couldn't just try Viagra?

Can they charge the person that sold it to him with murder? Hopefully they have an idea who sold the rock to this guy. :(

What can I say TM? A poll would require me to go out amongst the fella's far and wide.

In all seriousness yours are good questions, TM. Interestingly enough there was just information out today on this. Health officials say there are no "hard" and fast rules when it comes to aphrodisiacs. Says it right in the link. No mention of attempted murder. However, E-Bay is mentioned and the words riff-raff and scammers.

Me or the guy ate the snake venom? LOL You ladies are quick witted. Poles. Polls. Excellent.

For the record I feel bad the man died, but I kind of agree with Reb.
