This guy in NC gets arrested for failing to return a rented copy of "Freddy Got Fingered" from 2002. Tom Green himself offers his support. Wow.

I watched Freddy Got Fingered for the first time last night and then read about this story. The charges were later dropped. I really thought this was a publicity stunt by Tom Green but it turned out to be true.

About a month later, on April 27, Meyers made his appearance in court and wanted his name cleared. The district attorney’s office dropped the charges against Meyers.

“Elated, ecstatic, relieved, very relieved,” Meyers sat after leaving court. “Too many thoughts to describe right now, I was figuring out every scenario, just wasn’t sure what to expect. I had an idea of what to expect but wasn’t very sure at the time when court started.”
