IF YOUR TRAVELING IN FLORIDA, PLEASE TUNE IN LOCAL RADIO STATIONS SO YOU'RE AWARE OF FIRE HAZARDS. THEY KEEP CLOSING INTERSATE 95, BACKING UP TRAFFIC FOR HOURS.
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY Clifford Franks and his neighbors in Vero Tropical Gardens watered down their roofs and watched as flames roared along the other side of Interstate 95, which was closed to traffic between Vero Beach and Sebastian for several hours Sunday afternoon.
"When they say evacuate I think the tears are going to fall," said Lisa Kidd, who lives two blocks east of the Franks in the small subdivision, located just northwest of I-95 and State Road 60.
