PORT CLINTON, Ohio — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in Port Clinton on Saturday.

The sheriff’s office says they responded to a home on the 2600 block of East Harbor Road just after 1 p.m. where they found 86-year-old Warren Taylor, who was deceased.

Taylor’s death is being treated as suspicious.

PORT CLINTON, Ohio — Two people have been arrested in the homicide of an 86-year-old Port Clinton man who was found dead in a home on July 19.

According to a press release from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, authorities arrested two Toledoans in connection to the victim's death.

The first arrest was of Shawn M. Gooden, 51, of Toledo. He was arrested on Tuesday and indicted on counts of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary, theft from a protected class, tampering with evidence and receiving stolen property.

Authorities also arrested on Thursday 34-year-old Iesha Goodell, also of Toledo, and charged her with receiving stolen property.

Second suspect charged in murder investigation of elderly Port Clinton man

Ottawa County Sheriff's Office reports investigation continues.

On July 28, Goodell was charged with receiving stolen property and complicity to aggravated murder. She is being held in the Ottawa County Detention Facility after an appearance in Ottawa County Common Municipal Court on July 29. Additional charges are pending.

A sheriff's captain reported no new information at this time.
