The motivations are. This was not a shooting motivated by anti-fascism; trying to frame it as that is intellectually dishonest, especially considering that antifa isn't even an organization

The Ohio gunman described himself on social media as a pro-Satan “leftist” who wanted Joe Biden’s generation to die off, hated President Trump and law enforcement, and hoped to vote for Sen. Elizabeth Warren for president.

Connor Betts, Ohio gunman, was Elizabeth Warren supporter

“Vote blue for gods sake,” he wrote last Nov. 2. On the day of the senator’s death, Betts wrote “F—k John McCain.”

Definitely an antifa terrorist. extremists on both sides need to go away.

They are taking crime scene photos and cleaning the scene. This is the leftovers of the area that they pile up. They do not waste time taking victims shoes off at the scene, whether alive or deceased. This is from people running out of them or them coming off from force. This happens after a lot of incidents. It's definitely not random people's shoes that come to leave their shoes to memorialize victims.

Longtime reputable reporter from Dayton, Amelia Robinson, took that photo.

I don't think so. I think all extremists are the same, people filled with hatred and violence. They just put different spins on their crimes.

Except all the evidence, and the condemnation from leftists, and the dude's documented history of violence against women, and the dude targeting a random bar, and the fact none of the victims have even the slightest connection to fascism...

  • #606
All we need to do is look at Jeffrey Epstein and we can see how women are thought of

So the school made the VICTIM talk to him? wow...he needed to be talking to a therapist and a police officer. Why do cops always brush off this kind of behavior? It's not funny but time in and time again. LE doesn't do anything. Wait and see what happens...look what happened.

Is there anything on his social media accounts to indicate he was involved in antifa? Any mention of him attending the antifa rally against the KKK in Dayton last May?

JMO, antifa is not a terrorist organization.

When have the victims ever meant anything to the extremist killer? They just want to kill, and they just pretty it up with their own personal spin. The end is always the same--violence. Attacking people is wrong, no matter what the attacker says to justify attacking the innocent

(Post in progress / Rough Live Draft as I have to pull live quotes / this post will take the full editing time of one hour to compile.

ETA: Battery is dying and out of time and I’ve barely scratched the surface. Will have to resume later. )

Part 1:

From the following Harvard study, there appears to be a shift in the rate of mass shootings since prior years:

Rate of mass shootings has tripled since 2011, new research from Harvard shows

According to above article, the rate of increase “has tripled since 2011”:

“According to our statistical analysis of more than three decades of data, in 2011 the United States entered a new period in which mass shootings are occurring more frequently.”

Rate of increase from 2010 to 2011:

—-

At what rate percentage per year ultimately landed us at a triple per rate in 2019? I will pull data from 2010 onwards to try to assess this:

2010-
2011-
2012-
2013-
2014-
2015-
2016-
2017-
2018-
2019 (year to date)

——

Based on the numbers above, unless there is a suddenly decrease or lull, according to the percentage of increase from 2018 to 2019, statistical projections put us at “x” for the next year of 2020 and “x” for the next ten years following (10x @rate percentage of increase, not to include an increase in the increeeease percentage so 10x the increase rate percentage would therefore be a minimal projection number); should there for some reason be a sudden cease, lull or decrease, which if were to be the case, the likeliness of that happening would have a low probability based on the stats above:

Magz assessments and projections / JMO Mooooooooooo ( @cody22 ):

2019 End of year projection
2020
2021
2022
2023
2024
2025
2026
2027
2028
2029
2030.

It is also to be noted specifically that mass shootings in schools have also undergone an rate of increase:

It’s the Oregon district of Dayton, Ohio; not to be confused with Dayton, Oregon

Correct. Historic district that serves as a melting pot for people of all ages and interests—arts, unique food, bars of all types, music, and a Dayton place to be for many. It’s known for being a peaceful, energetic, interesting, sometimes a little rowdy place but not dangerous. MOO.

Dayton’s motto after the tornados and now this: Dayton Strong. I also think Dayton Sad right now but that’s MOO.

Except with almost every right-wing act of terrorism the victims do mean something; The El Paso shooter's goal was to kill immigrants, Dylann Roof's goal was to kill black people, The Christchurch shooter's goal was to kill muslims, Brevik's goal was to kill members of the youth wing of a leftist party...

JMO, antifa is not a terrorist organization.

Yes, since his acct has been suspended, you'll have to scrub through twitter to find his tweets.

Extremists in any form are bad news, IMO. We'll have to agree to disagree.

I can't picture it either, but it seems ripe for festering sick thoughts and spiraling downward.

I don't have a solution, but this situation seems like it was going nowhere good, even if it didn't end with violence.

If you asked him what did he want to be doing in five years, I bet he wouldn't have an answer, imo.

Directionless plus having sick thoughts...that was his life, apparently. Add a gun to that.

jmo
Did he still live at home?

Politics doesn’t explain these events.

Mass killers (shooters), all seem to have a similar psychological makeup.

They tend to be angry loners, who are looking for revenge.

They misdirect their rage on a group of people who they blame for their problems.

They find a sense of belonging to an ideology that strikes their fancy, whether it is white supremacy, radical Islam, or whatever the hell else.

Basically, they find something to fill the vacuum.

But that is a symptom, not a cause.

That is my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong. (It is confusing following THREE mass shooting over the past week.) IIRC, he was driving a car registered to his father. It seems as if he hadn't entered adulthood. My opinion. Others can poke holes in that assessment as desired.

jmo

Edited to add: IMO, he hadn't entered adulthood because of himself - just making sure no one interprets my post that I am giving him any excuse or blaming anyone but him.

Seems like people want to pick a fight with each other rather than figuring out these situations together. Frustrating.

It's as if these people are all detached from reality and live in a fantasy world. It has come out that Jake Patterson fantasized about torture and murder. Thank goodness he's locked up.

Obviously, he has had severe issues for years.

He may not be able to work because he cannot hold a job, His personality may be highly unpleasant or he may have mental breaks on the job.

People are thrilled trying to link him to a leftist agenda, but none of his thought are coherent. Raping women, having guns with high capacity killing, voting for Elizabeth Warren. Yeah, that goes together. NOT!

Could show how disorganized his thoughts were, if he hated women why support Elizabeth Warren, not Bernie instead? Just odd.
So parents may have been stuck supporting him. What a nightmare.

Connor Betts: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

A woman named Aubrey Williams wrote, “He loved scaring people. He thought it was funny and got off on it. He scared my sister so bad once, I think he held her in his car against her will. She started crying and he laughed at her. He was sick.” Another wrote, “wasnt our responsibility!! We WERE just kids!! It should not be a kids job to sfop a killer!! People did report him!!”

I know everyone is posting that mental illness isn't the cause of these mass shootings. However this sounds like aspects of mental illness and in the least severe personality disorder like antisocialism.

agreed. Personality Disorder.

Volume kind of low, a little difficult to hear, but he said LE is not aware of any hit lists, hate lists, etc. If that info is out there, it hasn't been shared with LE. Parents are getting support from friends. They are victims, too. Not revealing anything about what they've found in searches. Only criminal record was minor traffic offenses, etc.

Seems to me they haven't listened to his classmates over the past decade complain and make reports on him then.
