While there is no doubt Cage's name helped raise awareness of the disappearance, police say the big break in the case came last week, when the missing teen's mother found a suspicious social-media page to which she alerted police. Authorities obtained a search warrant for the account and discovered a disturbing message that read, "I haven't hurt her, I don't plan on it, but she keeps crying."

When questioned by police, Schroeder allegedly said he believed the girl was 18. He also denied bringing her to Missouri, but police say receipts found in his vehicle, as well as a traffic ticket he allegedly received in Ohio on Nov. 8, show that he was in Ohio the same day the teen disappeared.

I was on vacation last week and must have missed this great news.
I am so happy that she has been found. I hope she's not allowed on the Internet until she turn 50.
Such a scary world out there for kids nowadays.

Christopher Schroeder, the Missouri man who lured, kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old Brooklyn girl last year, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.

Schroeder met the girl on Kik, drove to Northeast Ohio, picked her up, removed the SIM card from her cellphone, took her back to Missouri and sexually assaulted her and filmed it. Also, via Cleveland.com: "At his home, he forced her to clean his home and have sex. He forced her to change her appearance and told her she needed to lose weight. He smashed her phone and threw it into a river."

He entered a guilty plea back in July to transporting a minor for sexual activity.

I hope they keep him locked up as long as possible. If he ever victimizes another woman, it likely won't end the same.
