MISSING: Abdul Alanazi age 30. Abdul was reported missing on January 27, 2023 at approximately 10am.

Abdul was reportedly out last evening in the downtown area with friends. He went with a group to the East 9thStreet pier at approximately 230am to look at the water and was reportedly intoxicated. When the group went to leave, Abdul reportedly walked away. Members of the group searched for Abdul and were unable to locate him.

Abdul is visiting from Saudi Arabia and reportedly does not speak English. He was last seen wearing a beige jacket and pants. Anyone with information please call 9-1-1 or 216-621-1234.

I hope he didn’t end up in Lake Erie. Hopefully he’s just lost and unable to communicate.

Sounds kind of hinky to me. Was he with friends or people he just met up with during his visit? Were they bar hopping? Lots of bars in that area.

Alcohol is illegal in Saudi Arabia so it's possible he didn't normally drink. If he was with friends why did they wait until 10 am the following morning to report him missing? Especially because he was intoxicated and didn't speak English AND they last saw him near water. Not sounding good.

Every case we've seen in these circumstances recently has not ended well. Hoping for Abdul's sake, the streak is broken.

I am not surprised they waited to call police. They may have had some expectations that made them unsure about calling and just hoped he would show up on his own.

Such a sad outcome, my condolences to his loved ones. For those of you wondering as to the statement of "medical treatment". I used to fly commercially and was based in Cleveland for about 3 years. Families from Saudi regularly flew in family members for surgery, (you would see huge private jets on the ramp there) such as routine orthopedic and heart work at the Cleveland Clinic due to the quality of the care there.
