Manhunt underway after 1 killed and 5 injured in Ohio warehouse shooting

“This is quite a tragedy, and it’s really a fluid situation,” said Greg Jones, the chief of police in New Albany, Ohio.

“At this point, we have a person of interest, and we are working to locate them and bring them into custody,” Greg Jones, the chief of the New Albany Police Department told a news conference.

Jones added the police knew of the suspect's whereabouts but efforts to apprehend him were continuing.

Jones said it “appeared to be a targeted type of attack” but he would not reveal whether the suspect was a current of former employee at the facility.

A manhunt has been launched for Bruce Reginald Foster III, (pictured) whom police have identified as a person of interest in the mass shooting at the KDC/One factory in Ohio.

Authorities are actively searching for the suspected gunman, whom they identified as Bruce Reginald Foster III and, according to police, has fled the area.

Police have are searching for Foster, who remains at large. Officials do not believe he poses an ongoing threat to the community.

'We believe we may know their location. We don't have any reason to believe that they are a general threat to society,' Jones said. 'It appears at this point to be a targeted type of attack.'

Police have not yet determined a motive for the attack, but note that they did not receive any 'reports of an altercation beforehand or afterward'. Officials also refused to confirm if the suspect worked in the factory.

Foster is believed to have been working at the facility at the time of the shooting, according to Jones. He had been working there “for some time” and was at the building “several hours before this shooting happened.”
