OH OH - ANTHONY SOWELL, 11 bodies unearthed at his Cleveland home, 2007-09 *dies in prison 2021*

I was questioning this too. She should not have been down there, but I wonder if they would even look at this residence. East Cleveland is a different city. I wonder how that would work.

Meanwhile, Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath is defending his department against a backlash of criticism that 11 African American women were killed --- and that investigators had not connected their disappearances.... nor had they investigated Sowell, a registered sex offender, on numerous occasions when they had cause or opportunity.

McGrath says chances are high that the women did not all vanish in a short period of time.

POLICE CHIEF MICHAEL McGRATH: “Currently those black females that meet this profile - we have 14 active reports in the 4th district - i also know that because of the state of these particular bodies, some of these females that we have discovered here over the course of the last few days, could have been missing for the last five years.”

So, Tonia had been missing almost a year. I wonder if she was killed at that time? Was her body in the house for a year? Didn't his female visitors smell it? How on EARTH did he live in a home that held all those dead bodies?? I really can't understand that at all. I won't pretend to know what a decomposing body smells like, or how long it smells...but from everything that I've read, it's the most nauseating smell and very distinct.

Cuyahoga Coroner Dr. Frank Miller stated that DNA was used in the identification of Carmichael. Miller added there has been a match of a dental record of another victim but are waiting for DNA to give the name to the public.

Think about perfume. When you first put it on, you smell it on yourself. But soon you don't smell it anymore. Your nose gets used to it and you just don't notice it. That is the only explanation I can think of.

Why do they give a rat's a** if he commits suicide?
Save the money for a worthy cause, and it isn't him.
IMO

I am hoping that they find out what happened to the rest of the remains that went with the skull they found. I am also wondering why just the one? He buried some, put some in the crawl spaces and left two out, but they weren't dismembered. So why dismember the one?

CLEVELAND -- The Sowell home has come to be known as a house of horrors, but for one Cleveland woman it was for more than 40 years simply her home.

I am guessing Necrophilia, And that could be why he had so many victims is such a short time. As he grew more comfortable arround the victims bodies he was able to live with them longer. He also could of been waiting for them to decompose so it wouldnt be as hard it dispose of them. Just harder to live with.
This is just my guess and not meant to be dispespectful in anyway. If it was mentioned already I missed it as I havent read every post.

Even if they did notice, how many of the women that came in, came out?
What I don't get is why police who came to the house didn't notice the smell.

I think you're probably right but good lord; :puke:

They probably blamed it on the sausage shop too.

Wade added, "I could have actually been one of them. So I feel for the families of the ones that are gone. But if the police wouldn't have let that man go, those people would be here. They let that man go and that wasn't right."

A woman went to the police with that story about a registered sex offender and they didn't search his apartment then? WTF?! :furious: I reiterate WTF?! :furious:

They've discovered that the skull in a bucket is a whole nother person. Body count is up to 11..!
When you see this guy on the news...his eyes are completely void...empty. There is absolutely no one in there.

Identification made on one body..!

Tonia Carmichael...52...Who was NOT listed in CharleyProject or Doe Network!?? Why??? Because she was black?? On Drugs??? I've seen numerous white women on both sites that are listed and they were prostitutes, drug addicts.. this pisses me off!!

One of the ladies in the slideshow at the top of this thread was identified as one of the 11 victims found so far. Tonia Campbell, the second woman in the slideshow, was one of the victims

No one saw dug up graves in the backyard........I find it strange.
and no dogs in area run to the graves?
How do these monsters live among us?
What did this monster do for a living?
Seems like he got worse over the years........
like Dalmer, kept a head???
What did he do with her body???
sick, plain evil!
May his victims now be able to RIP with their family knowing where they are now.
