OH OH - ANTHONY SOWELL, 11 bodies unearthed at his Cleveland home, 2007-09 *dies in prison 2021*

This jury selection seems to be taking longer than the Anthony case.
This is way larger than that one, imo. I wish this would be televised. jmo

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Cleveland Heights police say they did not test sexual assault evidence that could have connected another woman's rape to serial-killings suspect Anthony Sowell in 2009 because they didn't know they had the evidence.

City officials said they discovered the rape kit among other stored evidence almost two years later when Cleveland police asked for it as a part of their investigation of Sowell.

Akron heavy metal band's album contains what it says is soil from Cleveland home of accused killer Anthony Sowell

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- About 100 fans who bought a copy of Akron-based heavy-metal band Fistula's latest album, "Goat," received a bonus gift -- an evidence baggie containing soil reportedly from the front yard of the Imperial Avenue house where the remains of 11 women were found last year.

The album, which was recorded on vinyl, was inspired by the case of Anthony Sowell,

This is a very sick publicity stunt

12:45 p.m.: About 30 protestors have gathered on the steps outside the Justice Center to speak about the Imperial Avenue murders. Community activist Art McCoy said, while he doesn't agree with the death penalty, he thinks that Sowell deserves to die. Among the group are representatives from U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge's office and Cleveland City Councilman Kevin Conwell's office. One woman was arrested, but it was not related to the rally.

From your link above joe. What are these people protesting? The Death Penalty? The murders? The trial? hm.

Many of the victims family have said they do not wish to go through the trauma of a trial and hear the horrible evidence of how there loved ones were murdered, they want the state to offer him LWOP in order to get a plea deal and to have the issue resolved, sounds like the protestors wish the state to continue with a trial so that he can be given the DP

I think there may also be residual anger over the way the police handled the many murders of the women over the years, thus allowing Sowell to commit so many crimes and no one ever linked the murders together,

don't think this is an insanity defence now, from the information I have gleaned from news media about defence opening statement and what they are arguing seems it is just a wait and see we will show he did not do it,

Amazingly, there were only 4 people seated in the section set aside for victim's families.
There were more protesters last week than that. I guess defense attorneys have to say something, but "He is innocent and there is no evidence against him" was a surprise to me. If I can take a few days off, I may try to sit in on this. Will have to see.
