I don't know the Zhou family's routine, but as the mom of a 5-year old, I am shocked to hear *any* 5-year old would willingly go for a nap, let alone one at 5pm! Hoping and praying for Ashley's safe and soon return...

I knew as soon as the parents declined to plea for their daughters safe return in the media that they knew she wasn't going to come home. So hoped I was wrong.

I am pretty shocked. Really thought they were going to arrest a delivery driver or someone like that.

I admit that I found it odd that a parent wouldn't check on a 5 yr old for so many hours however. Hard to believe a 5 yr old would sit quietly in a back room for 5 hrs without a peep. But it didn't make me jump to this horrifying conclusion...

although there re no charges yet...so ...?

I can't imagine it being possible, but could they have moved her to the restaurant over night thinking they finished searching there? That tiny of a place I can't imagine looking it over the first day.

Same here, shocked. I'm betting the timeline we know is off. When was she really last seen by anyone other than her parents? Could she have been deceased before their evening meal started? During that time? After they closed? I would love to hear from someone who ate there last night. Did the atmosphere in the restaurant seem strange, even if only in hindsight? So many questions. Question number one, of course, is WHY?
