So could she be sent back? What would happen then? Would she be jailed back home? Have they ever deported anyone before facing murder charges? Sorry I know nothing about this.

Both parents were arraigned in Massillon Municipal court Wednesday and neither have previous felonies.

Nist also determined that there would be no contact allowed between the parents and the child and that the parents were to undergo parenting evaluation in the future after their criminal proceedings are done.

Nist set the next hearing for 9 a.m. Feb. 8, 2017.

Often a patient with a severe head injury throws up, and sometimes with a seizure as well. Perhaps there was nothing in her belly to throw up, except bile????
Exactly my point. 😊

Were these two even married?

ICE seeks custody of mother

http://www.cleveland19.com/story/34...y-of-woman-accused-of-killing-her-little-girl

I.C.E. would seek custody of Chen at the conclusion of her local charges in Stark County involving murder and felonious assault.

In 2009 Chen applied for asylum based on her religion, political opinion and membership in a social group that she suffered persecution by the Chinese government.
She testified her brother was arrested after she fled China but her asylum application didn't indicate the arrest of any family member. Chen also testified she was held in an education camp for a month but there were discrepancies if she was actually detained. Finally, Chen testified she owed money to somebody who smuggled her into the country. She didn't say if she was smuggled by her own free will or if she was forced into a smuggling ring.
Her request to seek asylum in the United States was denied and Chen faced deportation in 2012.

Chen has two children with U.S. citizen and North Canton resident Liang Zhao. It’s unknown if the two were married,

Just watched the custody hearing above. Mom looks void of any emotion to me. As does her mug shot. Dad on the other hand looks overwhelmed and very emotional as he is being led out. His mug shot also looks emotional to me too. His eyes, seem to say a lot. I can see this as she is the abuser and he tried to save his daughter, but once realized he couldn't, he tried to protect/save his wife. Not saying it was the right thing to do, not by a long shot. Just the scenario I see in my head. Just my guess.

I believe there is a lot attached to Chinese cultural differences that affected this family. Growing up, I had Asian relatives and extended friends; some adjusted well to US culture, but others never did--- and barely learned any English. For this woman to have been in the States since 2009 and still barely speak or understand English .... I am just sitting here shaking my head in disbelief.

I think he was trying to prevent his 6 yr old daughter from being taken from him. I am not sure he was trying to protect his wife.

If you talking about their second child, then he was willing to leave her in the house with the same woman who just allegedly beat their other child to death.

I am not sure he would have stayed with her. I want to think he would have taken his child and left.
