Barbara Ashley Jordan, 31, disappeared about a month ago. The last time that her family saw her, they said she was walking out of a hospital against their wishes.

Known to frequent places like Middletown, Dayton, Columbus and a truck stop in Franklin, her closest relatives and friends have been searching for her near and far. They believe she may at one point have been with another woman that Hartwell said now appears to be missing as well. “Her name is Ashley Cabot,” Jordan's mother said. “They are very close.”

Truckstop sets off flags. The other women missing, or at least some of them, were involved with prostitution. That often involves truck stops. Given the area, I'm thinking it's less likely a long haul trucker but someone local who is home more often, day delivery, contract UPS etc.

If she had "paired up" with another woman who was also involved with the sex trade, both might have gone missing at once.
