This clip from E! is interesting - I'm sorry if it's been posted before...I was looking for the psychic kids episode. I had no idea Brian was going to propose to GF in Miami. That would be a huge motivation for another guy to be upset. I also find her demeanor peculiar...although I know everyone reacts differently. Alexis says in this clip that Brian said that night "would be a chance for him to talk about me to the guys". (I'm guessing their engagement).

ETA: Here's a clip of Randy discussing the Psychic Kids' help: http://www.aetv.com/psychic-kids/video/index.jsp?bcpid=1586373415&bclid=1586429772&bctid=1589736009

One more thought: the girls that he was speaking to outside the bar....the last video of him. He looked like he walked away with a purpose - almost an angry purpose. Perhaps these girls lured Brian back for someone else to rob him, etc. and it got out of hand =p They could have convinced him they needed help or protection from someone - almost any guy would want to help. Just a thought =p

I've never seen that video. Thanks for posting it.

I've always wondered why he left and came back. One of the kid psychics "saw" that.

If you didn't catch the episode, you might check to see if your cable company's "on demand" feature has it, if you have cable. There is a Comcast listing for Psychic Kids, but I am not sure which episodes are up right now in my area. I always check to see if Brian's episode is going to be on.

A WS poster brought this article to my attention. I thought I would post it.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Others have joined Losey on the wall:
• Brian Shaffer, an Ohio State medical student who was last seen April 1, 2006, at the Ugly Tuna Saloona in the South Campus Gateway. He was 27 years old.

On a good note, the Attorney General met with families of the missing to discuss how Ohio can better handle missing person cases. A commmitte has now been formed which will meet every 6 weeks with the AG.
On a sad note, Brian has now been missing over 4 years, 3 months and 25 days; or 225 weeks or over 37,000 hours. Where is Brian?

Arielilane, that's good news. We have to have hope and faith that LE is still trying to find Brian and other missing adults.

Sorry if this has been covered but does anyone know if LE ever ID'd the 2 females he was seen talking to before he walked off on the security footage?

Yes, they were identified and the police spoke with them. If you go to page 4 of this thread, post #93, on 6/25/09, pittsburghgirl posted an article that was taken from the Project Jason website. It has the names of the girls in the first paragraph.

I've always wondered what the psychic kids thought happened to Brian. Does anyone recall what their thoughts were about his demise?

My memory is probably off but I think they felt he was in water.

What bothers me so much about this case is the fact that he could not be found coming out of that bar.

If he went through the construction part and exited, I think it's a good chance he was lured or guided that way.

This case is just so frustrating!

My gut still tells me...........foul play and Clint.

What sticks in my mind is that if Brian suspected that Clint set him up to be punched at a party---------there are some weird dynamics going on between the two. Even if untrue, to verbalize a suspicion speaks volumes.

Does anyone think that this was jealously over Meredith (the girl with them), maybe Clint liked her and she liked Brian?

I have heard repeatedly about this supposed event that Brian believed happened where Clint had payed someone to attack him? I haven't ever seen a source for it or did this come from someone that knew Brian personally?
That would be very important if it were true but I had never heard it before or seen it until mentioned on this forum.
Does anyone know where this originated?

I was re-reading some articles about Brian again last night. Below are a few paragraphs I copied from the article "Is Brian Shaffer Alive" from the Campus newspaper in April 2009.

"In an e-mail last week, Florence said: "While I appreciate any effort in trying to determine what happened to Brain [sic] that night, I must decline your request. ANY and ALL questions you have for me should be directed to my attorney, Neil Rosenberg."

Florence, 32, works for the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Vanderbilt University Medical School, where he is a postdoctoral fellow, according to a Vanderbilt Web site.

Corbett said he doesn't know which detective Rosenberg was referring to in the e-mail. However, he believes it is one of three men at Columbus Police: detective Andre Edwards of the Physical Child Abuse Section, Sgt. John Hurst of the Physical Abuse Section and Deputy Chief Antone Lanata of the Investigative Subdivision.

All three did not respond to repeated requests last week for an interview about whether they told Rosenberg they believe Shaffer is still alive.

Rosenberg also said in his e-mail to Corbett that, "The only burning issue with the authorities remains Clint's refusal to be polygraphed. That decision was based on my recommendation and advise [sic] to Clint, not because he is, has been misleading or has something to hide, but that he simply has nothing new to tell and was totally up front and honest with them from the beginning. As far as Clint is concerned, this matter is closed."

Bold by me..I know we've read this article before, but that last sentence just makes my blood boil.

How can a matter be closed if one of your best friends disappears into thin air one night? What, did Clint just wake up a few days later and realize Brian was really gone and think that's it..I don't know what happened to him..case closed? How can he NOT be still searching or involved or even seem to care what happened??? My only guess is he knows what happened and will take it to his grave with him.

That is for certain. There is no doubt about it that Clint holds the entire thing in the palm of his hand.

This presents some questions though. We do know for a fact that Brian did not leave with Clint and Meredith, so did Clint pick him up later? Or, did Clint know that Brian was leaving town?

Are one of these the truth in the matter. Has it ever been explained what Clint was doing the following morning? I've never heard.

I don't know the source or if it is true. From what I recall, Brian expressed suspicions to someone--maybe his brother?

IF true---that sends up red flags on the relationship between Brian and Clint.

The way I remember reading it was that Clint saw Brian talking to some people (maybe those 2 girls in the video??), and then when Clint turned around Brian was gone and he never saw or talked to him after that. He said he tried to call Brian's cell around 2:30 or so and it went straight to voicemail. I don't know either if Brian believed Clint paid someone to attack him, which you questioned in your post before this one. I just don't know what exactly was going on between Clint/Meredith/Brian/Alexis. I agree that Clint knows something, but as far as Clint having him attacked at a party, or anything that happened before Brian disappeared is mostly just rumor, I guess. Wish there was some way to verify the rumors.
