Fire officials: Crews search for missing 5-year-old boy at Mineral Springs Lake Resort

PEEBLES, Ohio —
A number of emergency crews will continue their search Tuesday for a missing child who was last seen at the Mineral Springs Lake Resort in Adams County, according to the Peebles Fire Department.

Multiple agencies have been searching for 5-year-old Cameron Walters for more than 12 hours.

Looking at pics of the place, so many docks, the attractive nuisance of the water playground, the lake wraps around the whole park, and dense growth everywhere. Hoping so hard for a good ending...

A group of about 10 volunteers are out searching for Cameron Walters in the front section of the campgrounds

It’s been 12 hours since 5-year-old Cameron Walters was reported missing at Mineral Springs Lake Resort. The Adams County Sheriff’s Department received the call just after 5 yesterday evening. The search was called off at 2 a.m. but will resume when the sun comes up.

Numerous agencies have been called out to help with the search. We’re told Cameron was wearing dark colored cargo shorts and no shirt when he went missing. He’s about 3 feet tall, weighs 45 pounds and has blonde hair and green eyes.

The search for missing 5-year-old Cameron Walters will resume soon. We have seen search & rescue teams, deputies, as well as volunteers drive by us. Officials are keeping us near the front entrance asking us not go any further. Hoping to get an update shortly.

The sheriff tells me about 50 people are out looking for Cameron Walters right now. More are coming later.

Cameron was last seen at the Mineral Springs Family campground near Peebles, #Ohio on Monday.
He's 3ft tall and weighs 45lbs. He has blonde hair and green eyes & was wearing black shorts with no shirt.

This is localish to me. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. Not a big town near and so many places for a child to go missing. Hoping for the best.

Search and rescue crews are already out looking for Cameron and started showing up just after sunrise.
Then a dive team will arrive around 10 a.m.
A big focus of the search will be Mineral Springs Lake — Cameron is just 5 years old and can’t swim.

About 50 people are back out looking for a missing 5-year-old boy in Adams County Tuesday. Cameron Walters hasn't been seen since around 5 p.m. Monday.
There will be another active search later this afternoon.

"Cameron was last seen swimming around the boat dock, but his family says he can not swim. He was also seen running around the campsite, as well"
