Gulley, a native of Pontiac, Michigan, disappeared in September of 1993 when he didn't show up for his job at a car dealership. Two weeks later, his rental car was found burned up in Akron, Ohio, but there was no sign of him. Police have determined that Gulley was shot to death in a Pontiac hotel before being dumped in Stark County.
Police believe that George "Ricky" Washington is Gulley's murderer. After getting into a shootout with Akron police in 1994, he committed suicide.
Rest in peace Anthony. I'm glad his family has closure to what happened to him.
Was Washington a carjacker or robber? Sounds like a brutal robbery. Anthony, working at a car dealership, likely drove a nice car and probably looked well dressed.
But why was he killed in a hotel? Did Anthony know Washington or was he lured in the hotel by Washington on some false pretense?
Very sad case. And the perpetrator cannot be brought to justice anymore
