Ashtabula County officials are searching for a missing girl.

Caprice Schlageter is a student at Pymatuning Valley School District.

"[FONT=&quot]Sheriff's Detective Bryan Rose told the Star Beacon Caprice Schlageter, 16, last seen Nov. 25 in Andover, allegedly stole a cell phone from a fellow Pymatuning Valley High School student before disappearing, and he believes she's been using it."

[/FONT]"[FONT=&quot]The Sheriff's Department filed a report on the stolen phone, and issued a warrant for Schlageter, he said. Search warrants for the phone have also been issued — investigators may be able to determine her location based on where she's used wireless internet access points, he said."[/FONT]

She has been found safe! The Main Facebook page has been taken down for some reason. I spoke to her cousin and she can’t give out any details right now. But she is alive. I used to go to school with her, she was a wonderful girl.

Federal authorities today are stepping up efforts and she is believed to still be in the area.

Schlageter has been spotted in Ashtabula, Trumbull and Lake counties as well as in western Pennsylvania, since running away from home. Since her disappearance, there’s been a range of “rumors and innuendo” that she was spotted or had been in contact with others, but none of those reports were confirmed.

Ashtabula County teen missing for two years is reunited with family

The U.S. Marshals joined the search in June and soon after, Caprice contacted authorities and said she wanted to return home. The 18-year-old met investigators at the Ashtabula County Juvenile Diversion Center Tuesday morning.
